What I'm hearing is instead of telling a child how they are limited by their neurodiversity (a box you've put them in that harmfully influences their life), you could instead give/reinforce the idea their differences are a good thing and to run with their gifts. He then gives examples of the incredible things that are possible when owning one's neurodiversity as a gift instead of a limitation. As far as telling a kid they are neurodiverse, kids already know when they're different from their peers. Acknowledging it in a positive manner could be the difference between setting them off on a good path instead of a bad one.

"let's hear how great minds think differently" immediately made me cry, that is so right ❤❤❤ excited for the next 45 mins of watching!

Fantastic episode, lovely to hear Jamies clearly describing his experience of living with Dyspraxia. The eds asd dyspraxia adhd ND combination is quickly becoming known. James, on the oesophegal issue... I discovered my hypotonic muscled dyspraxic condition extended to my low airway muscle tone, despite my slight build and not fitting the standard profile for sleep apnoea, that I have had sleep apnoea for my entire 63 years, snoring to shake the house! Bought a cpap machine online which has really helped increase airway muscle tone. Maybe wdnt apply to you but just thought I'd mention it. thanks guys!

I have been diagnosed with EDS, and I have been referred for an ADHD assessment, though I wonder if I actually have dyspraxia as I have a lot of cross-over symptoms. The link between connective tissue disorders and ND is very interesting

So love this interview!! I have loved Collabro since they first appeared on BGT. I have also worked with Children with Dyspraxia including 2 with DES., so am finding this fascinating. Congratulations James. You are amazing!

It's been absolutely wonderful to meet the man behind the amazing singing voice heard in COLLABRO. Such an accomplished individual! This has, also, been extremely educational...lots of neurodivergent information. I'm going to suggest this site, and this particular interview, to 2 of my neurodivergent grandchildren. they are amazing young people who, in the right environment, will leap rapidly into successful lives. My dyslexic grandson is a techno whiz!! My autism spectrum granddaughter is entering her senior year of college as a straight A student in, both, creative writing and biology. I am in awe of them both!! Thank you, Jamie, for being so articulate when talking about neurodivergence issues...much appreciated by this grandmother!!

This is amazing! I have dyscalculia though, and I have never found any advantage to it.
