I do my own nails not licensed. This year was hard for me to maintain my inspiration and goodness this video hit me so hard!! I hate hearing others struggle like I have been! Ur tip of using a rubber base coat before acrylic is a life saver, I tried it with regular gel base coat and it works too absolutely zero lifting (I love ur work) and thank u for all the tips too

You probably won't see this....When you started talking about how we as nail artists see what our clients won't or don't....I am the only person that my sister will allow to do her nails. I haven't worked professionally (in a salon) for years! So it does take me a bit longer than it used to. I also have become much more detailed and strive for utter complete perfection on every nail. My sister got so frustrated she literally asked if I could just do a less perfect job...lol! I could have died!!!! She pointed out the same thing you did in this video...I'm so glad that I know someone out there can relate even just a little...love your work!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself! They look fantastic! LOVE that Diamond gel!! On the other hand, I totally get the OC in doing the design, after about my 15th year of doing nails I finally got that it was me making them too perfect, like you said, the client usually doesn't even notice any flaws that we may see. It made the next 15 years as a nail tech a lot less stressful for me. Keep the great videos coming!

The last set i did on my self I encapsulated glitter and after filing I hit the glitter on the sides from shaping, so I'm going to try your suggestion😀 oh and I think the swirls are called filigree😀 Robin Moses(she has a youtube, robin moses) shows detailed videos of how to do filigree 😉 I'm like you alot and try to handpanit then stamping, I feeling like some are to small or you can tell they are stamped images. Now not saying I don't frustrated and get out some plates😒 saying this, one of the biggest reasons I love nails is making Art😀

Hello, I just have a question about the side walls. Do you go in thinner with acrylic on the sidewalls when filing, than you would with builder gel? When I go thin on filing my sidewalls with builder gel, they seem to crack or start to break, but I noticed you go thin with the acrylic and thicker with the builder gel maybe? If you know what I mean lol.. might be a stupid question but I just figured I ask. Thank you in advance.
