There is something beautiful and oddly timeless about this song. Based on a lot of the comments, no matter the age, this song seems to bring everyone back to more carefree days. Myself included, I am 52 and, for reasons I can't explain, this song brings me back to my college years in the mid 80's. Absolutely brilliant song.

It's 2011. I'm 19, just started my second year of college. My homies and I all go over to our buddies house, smoke 5 bong hits each, and watch the Art of Flight 10 times in a row on the projector in his room. What a time to be alive. Now the homies all have responsibilities and we can't do that stuff anymore or see each other as often as we used to. Some have kids, some are getting married.... it will never be the same. I always look back at this time in my life and think about how good we had it. I will cherish those memories forever.

I often say "I wonder if we knew back then, what a special time in our lives those moments were." But then I remember laying in a random lawn at a party. 2am, staring up at the stars and contemplating that exact thing, then and now. I remember that moment because it was then that I knew. We knew. Exactly how fundamental we were to eachother and those moments helped shape us. Tonight, ill lay in the yard staring at the stars and somewhere out there, 21yr old me is staring at the same night sky ❤

In 2014 my mom was dying of cancer. Before I saw my gf for the last time before I flew to spend her final days with her, this song came on. A couple days later she had passed, and I was just so sad and hurt. I was in the car, and this song came on. I think of it now as anytime it comes on it’s my mom telling me everything is going to be okay

This song means so much to me. I just can't explain how I feel listening to it, it’s a mixture of freedom, nostalgia, loneliness, passion... mindblowing. My friends don't know it, but I put this song on our graduation video with our best moments at school. Now, 6 years later, I'm listening to it and having all the feelings back. It's so special, I just wanna say thank you for that.

Same! I only know this song because a 10-second clip from the refrain was played before almost every ad break on a music TV station, for about a month -- and I listened to the full song just a few times back then. Now it's _the_ most nostalgic song for me, by far, and I can't even really explain why. I think it brings out some quintessential feeling of being a teenager and really makes you take a ride on that feeling. Such a great song.

love this song makes me think about my entire life and all the amazing things I've done ..jumping off of a Kmart roof into bushes for the fun of it ,pushing a semi truck tire onto a bonfire when I was 14 and drunk, getting hit by a car when I was 15 and walked away from it ,lip singing korns got the life at a hillbilly festival just to be that guy everyone gave dirty looks to lol, meeting a bunch of my favorite actors ,wrestlers, and comic book artist's..but all of this is when I was younger... now I'm 32 and amazing things are still happening every day ..I have 2 beautiful sons now ,a loving woman ,a home,an amazing collection of comics ,toys, autographed memorabilia, etc etc ...life is only as amazing and beautiful as you are willing to let it to be ..enjoy every second of it and don't let a moment of it pass you by have fun,be stupid, be wreckless ..but always be loving, faithfull, loyal, and know your goals ...I wish the best in life for all of you

There's a Walgreens in my city that's in an old bank building, it's absolutely massive and really fancy. I went there for candy and snacks all the time when I was in high school. I graduated in 2015. lyrics: We're only young and naïve still We require certain skills The mood it changes like the wind Hard to control when it begins The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Can't help myself but count the flaws Claw my way out through these walls One temporary escape Feel it start to permeate We lie beneath the stars at night Our hands gripping each other tight You keep my secrets hope to die Promises, swear them to the sky The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah As it withers, brittle it shakes Can you whisper, as it crumbles and breaks? As you shiver, count up all your mistakes Pair of forgivers, let go before it's too late Can you whisper? Can you whisper? Can you whisper? Can you whisper? The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah The bittersweet between my teeth Can you whisper? I can't believe it has been this long since this song was released. It feels like a whole lifetime. I can't forgive her I probably won't. But I forgive myself. And I wish her the best. And I wish myself to heal. And to learn to be happy again.

This band has a certain sound to it that just makes people nostalgic, no matter if they can identify with the video/ text or not, it's just the sound and I think that's amazing Anyway, have a great day everybody!

every time i come back to this song it brings me so much happiness and sadness too. it’s so nostalgic for me and brings back so many good memories. maybe it’s because i know i’ll never get the feeling i had during those memories back in the same way. it makes me wonder where all the time went. part of it is probably the realization that there’s a part of my life that’s just a distant memory now. i can’t really explain the feeling but i hope i’m not alone

I remember when this song came out. I was going through a really hard breakup. So many feelings are associated with this song... "fall back in love eventually".... I have now been married for 6 years.

This song is hauntly beautiful. Takes me straight back. It's crazy the feeling you get like where has time gone. So young, so hopeful. This hurts but I love it.

One of the best bands I have ever seen live. The show they did in Camden Roundhouse in 2011 lives in my mind to this day!
