Trisha hasn't denied this or claimed there was anyone else afaik, so that should be true. My thing is I'm tired of people shaming Gabbie for looking out for a friend. Trisha multiple times stated she had or has sexual transmitted diseases publicly in her videos. So yeah if I want to tell my friend "Hey watch out she has some type of disease be careful" then maybe I am a bad person and friend. Trisha is very vindictive and cruel.
@reilly46782 жыл бұрын
this is something i hardly see mentioned! She literally publicly discussed her sexual health, so even if Gabby hadn't heard it from a friend, it was not a secret and she was just telling someone Trisha was sleeping with so they would be careful, it's not like she randomly was telling everyone Trisha knows

I used to be a Narcissist when I was younger (14-19 I’m 24 now) but I became that to protect myself from people who were worse than me. It took me a LONGGGG time to realize I was becoming the person I was trying to protect myself from. I had to do years of therapy before I broke that cycle. I’m able to see that behavior in others and OMG Gabby is a huge Narcissist but Trisha is bigger and sneakier than Gabby - because she plays “dumb” and embodies her “troll” persona all day so people focus on that and ignore her horrible Narcissistic behavior.
@bucketonfoot2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say that you were a “narcissist”, we all had extremely selfish views, lack of self awareness, and not knowing how our actions effect others when we were younger. Kids are going to be selfish and only see things from their point of view.
@Margatatials2 жыл бұрын
unfortunately Narcissists bring out the narcissistic traits in their victims. the Narc will absorb all the empathy, friendliness and consideration from the person and leave them with nothing but there most selfish traits to protect themself when interacting with the rest of the world. so sorry that happened to you

@@bucketonfoot You’re treating the word narcissist like it just means “bad”. It is a clinical term of analysis. She saw these traits in herself and worked to better herself, that’s extremely commendable and courageous and super rare for people with narcissistic tendencies to do. We are only just now starting to deconstruct the stigma around antisocial/sociopathic conditions such that people can admit to it and feel supported. Eventually we will have to get to that place with narcissism because at the moment it’s uniquely resistant to psychiatric treatment.
@blazaybla222 жыл бұрын
OP something that you touched on that I don’t think is widely understood is that narcissism is perceived as just moral bankruptcy or opportunistic and it’s so much more than that; it is very often a result of trauma (I 100% believe Trisha suffered CSA from her stepfather) and, like antisocial disorders, it is very maladaptive (ie though people who have it may benefit in the short term, it ultimately creates worse situations for them in the long run but it is a personality disorder when they literally are incapable of seeing that without treatment). It is because trauma creates a fragility of ego such that the brain seeks to protect it at all costs. I’m very glad you not only saw this in yourself but that you stuck with treatment and even though I don’t know you I’m proud of you for admitting to it considering how it’s in the process of replacing sociopathy as the pop psych byword for “bad person.”
@sammyg99432 жыл бұрын
i think it’s great that you’ve done a lot of work on yourself op, but i don’t believe that you can stop being a narcissist if you were actually diagnosed with npd. also, trisha has stated publicly several times that she’s been diagnosed with bpd and not npd, so i don’t think it’s right for people without a background in psychology to continually refer to her as a narcissist. it’s also a huge reason why there’s so much stigma attached to different types of personality disorders. the amount of misinformation being spread is not helping anyone

After all the recaps, I understand this now. Trisha’s OWN WORDS were “incurable sexual disease” in her old vlog. She said it. Period. Gabbie’s fatal mistake was saying she heard it from a friend, and not saying she saw it in Trisha’s vlogs in the first place, where we all saw it in the first place. Gabbie not wanting to admit she followed Trisha’s vlogs was the early problem, Gabbie wanted to seem like she had inside info. She didn’t, she saw the same info everyone who was watching back then saw. Trisha created this herself, like all her drama. Self created.

The most hurtful thing, especially in a relationship is when your partner says "I don't know what to say, I am free of guilt" or just not even acknowledging WHAT you are saying. Saying stuff like "that is not true, I love you". The worst one is the silence treatment. It is just so uncomfortable, especially when finally daring to criticize or just saying what bothers you and then getting NOTHING back. Either way, talking with a narcissist makes you feel like everything was adressed and talked out in the best case, but later on you slowly realize nothing got sorted out and nothing changed.

@@marysue3439 that’s blatantly false. Considering Gabby claims that she and Tricia were friends at the time, she should’ve gone to Tricia to confirm first - if she was so concerned about Jason, she should’ve told him privately, instead of in front of other people (that’s gossiping, not informing your friend of your concerns). Gabby made the rumours public when she posted DMs of the convo with Tricia while making it easily identifiable who she was speaking to, which is what prompted Tricia to make a video. She did not have any verifiable information that Tricia had an STI - and she had no knowledge of whether Jason knew, since it’s none of her business anyways?? they’re grown adults, let them handle their business, and again if she was really that concerned, she should’ve discussed it with Tricia first to see if it was true before blindly spreading it

This is triggering me a bit. A family member has said some of these exact things to me (and in the same aggressive manner). She´s even tried to make it seem like I´M the one who said something crazy that SHE told ME. And when presented with solid evidence, she tries to turn it into a difference of opinion or tells me I´m being disrespectful. Or she´ll just scream at me to stop talking. One of the best things I´ve ever done is start journaling to record these incidents. It may not help me communicate with her, but it does keep me from feeling crazy every time she gaslights me.

Narcissists usually don't fight other narcissists, they're playing on the same team. They pick empaths as their target, because empaths don't know how to handle their narcissism and will take blame and even will call themselves the narcissist. Narcissists already know all the tricks in the book and won't even engage with other narcissists, in fact it's scary for them. The entire game of narcissism is manipulating empaths into thinking they're the problem.
