All trains have been hauled by the Transnet/Spoornet class 18E locomotives. These locomotives are the backbone of the NATCOR mainline.

Wonderful and inspiring video. Gorgeous iconic locomotives. I love South African trains! I'm wondering if freight traffic slows dows and delays passenger trains. I'm a French Huguenot living in Missouri USA by the Union Pacific and Amtrak corridor. Perhaps we have similar origins your name being Marais (swamp in French) 👌👍
