I have been listening to music since the late 50's , and have seen well over 1000 gigs (2000 bands with supports) . The National are one of the greatest bands of any era . But there are many great contemporary artists eg LP, Low , London Grammar, Wolf Alice etc.

Completely agree, their joyous to see live, Matt is captivating. I've seen them in a large outdoor crowd & intimate setting & always been brilliant. Such a great back catalog of music. Saw them last night at the Depot , Manchester . Was just a few feet away from the stage . No moat ! One of the greatest performances I have ever seen in 50 years of gig going.
