Palpatine said it was Darth Plageuis "ironic" fate that he taught others to overcome death and create life, but could not prevent his own death at the hand of the person he taught how to prevent dying. It's double irony. I don't see how this applies to Raphael Marks. A lot of tropes apply to Marks, but not this kind of ironic fate.

Considering mother sphere didn't malfunction, the premise of the game could be the answer of a riddle by an ai. If you replace a rotten piece of wood from a boat, to what point, given enough replacement, does it become a new boat? Ms' answer is that if artificial arms, legs, organs, blood, etc still make the humans that use it human, how is all of the human being replaced not still human? Humans just need to have the form, not the biology. Humans could thus be interpreted as bipedal beings as some robots are just walking guns. Them just being robots is th being human, and since they are stronger, killing the weaker doesn't violate the idea of protecting humans if they are replaced. That's my guess anyway. Last guess is Marks made ms in the image of his dead daughter and kindness of his dead wife. She may have been a nurse or something, thus the task to protect humanity. People talk about the sexuality in the game a lot, but Adam having no lust despite being human suggests that aspect of him is dead. Family dead can contribute to that, as well as redemption as he says. Lastly, the archives, orcals dwelling and labs look similar. They could all have been made by marks before the wars and the cities renamed.
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
I'm so glad you said that about the possibility of him having a daughter that died and he made MS in her image. I was thinking that when we first see MS at the end of the game. She obviously look like a girl or young teenager and she's wearing that kinda kiddy pajama outfit. It definitely made me think Raphael Marks could have used a daughter he once had as the possibility of her visual design.
@specialnewb98215 ай бұрын
I did find it very interesting they chose not to go the romance route, though there are a few lines here and there that could suggest it (like when Adam is flustered about Eve's haircut). But by the end it was clear that whatever he felt toward Eve, it wasn't romantic. Or if there was any romantic feeling, it was irrelevant.

Raphael Mark's AI servant Raffy refers to the _Legionaires_ as the "Airborne Squad". The Legionaires are regular Andro-Eidos which were soldiers under Mother Sphere's command and which fought against Naytibas during the _Final War._
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
Oh so is this the solution to that? Is this referenced somewhere? Please let me know :) This has been plaguing my mind with regards to the potential continuity error. Thanks for pointing this out.
@Viewable115 ай бұрын
@@unlistednaytiba It's not explicitely stated in the game. I deducted this from the content of the Legionaire's memory sticks. They fought for Mother Sphere for several years. Many of them complained about having waited decades for getting rescued from a hopeless military situation by Mother Sphere, but eventually lost hope and faith in Mother Sphere when no rescue attempt was made. Some Legionaires decided to go to the Orbital Elevator to avoid getting killed by Naytibas, but were killed on the way. Several dead Legionaires described they have hid from Naytibas for years, but either got killed or ran out of energy in their body cell. Several Legionaires' memories describe that the _colony extinction_ (the dropping of the space habitation modules down to Earth by Mother Sphere) was the last straw of hope that broke. The 7 yearly waves of Angels sent to reclaim Earth (the _EVE protocol_ ) happened after all Legionaires died and were Mother Sphere's reaction to the failure of the Legionaires. The Legionaires being part of Airborne Squads that were sent to Earth *before* the first _Angels_ squad is the only logical link that connects these facts with what Raffy said. Remember that the Legionaires are Andro-Eidos soldiers and that the colony was populated by Andro-Eidos and all Andro-Eidos on Earth had a data link with the colony via the _Network_ until Mother Sphere destroyed all infrastructure on Earth via the colony extinction.
@duannehaughton48933 ай бұрын

Great Deep Dive. One thing You may have forgot to mention is that there maybe a possible linking to the Elite Neytiba Karakuri and Enya's history as when you listen to the recordings in the abandoned opera house in the Great Desert, it specifically mentions Karakuri as apart of a play that Enya was apart of. Might just be a name drop alluding to the Karakuri boss later on, but I like to think there maybe a connection there.
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
OH yea, definitely missed that. I think the rule of thumb for anything found in documents, descriptions, etc. in Stellar Blade is that it is meant to be a linking to the main story line/threads. I think that because this was Shift Up's first AAA game, they put in a lot of lore/story through this way that they otherwise would have been able to put into actual cutscenes or dialogue because they simply didn't have the experience, funds, or manpower to do so. Now that they have their first AAA game under their belt, it's going to be truly amazing to see what they do next.

RAFFY could still mean the Airborne Squad just not the Angel Airborne Squad. It seems likely that Mother Sphere had an Airborne Squad since the Humans and Andro-Edios started fighting. Airborne Squadrons are a common part of military forces. The Angels could just be a later iteration after Mother Sphere saw the potential for an Elite Airborne Squadron.

Well, Providence scanned Eve and determined her to be naytiba before attacking. So I think she is, or at least mother sphere considers her, a naytiba still. But maybe some level above alpha and elder classification. I don't know if Adam is conscious inside her, but I think at the very least Eve has access to his knowledge. Since she can use and control her new powers without a problem, but also when the battle ended and Lily said that a lot of things have happened, Eve says "and even more is about to happen" it gives me the impression that she knows something is up.
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
Definitely correct about the providence scanning EVE and sensing Naytiba that way. That's a good way to think of it. I think Adam, not MS is truly behind everything since he created MS. SO perhaps EVE does have access to Adam's thoughts, knowledge, etc. and can see what he planned.
@GuiltyGaming5 ай бұрын
It wasn’t so much Providence as it was Mother Sphere observing remotely. Recall it’s Colony tech and, with the Demogorgon killed, there is no electromagnetic field blocking NETWORK traffic anymore. The exosuit accompanied Eve throughout the entire dialogue with Adam, but once she achieved apotheosis, Mother Sphere’s priorities changed. If you pause during the battle with the Airborne Squad legion, the mission name and description states “EVE Protocol - Mother Sphere views Eve as a threat.” The story ends with bittersweet contention between Eve and Mother Sphere and it’s difficult to speculate what the future holds.

Adam stated that he's been experimenting for decades on how to fuse an ando-eidos and nativa. it could be that all this time he's still been using the facilities post final-war, and at some point mother sphere found them. Adam probably moved his experimenting base of operations to somewhere in xion after the levoire locations were compromised. Raffy could be referring to airborne squad 1, a time period before Raven.
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
I never thought of that, and I think you're right. That would make sense. There was initially an outbreak, and Adam somehow escaped, but then came back to use the facilities. My thought was that he is using the Nest as his new base of operations - some of the descriptions and documents in the game state that Orcal is bringing in Naytiba to the cradle, but I believe orcal is supplying Adam with Naytiba to continue experiments. Maybe he is using a combination of the nest and the facilities at Levoires - this is why he was able to place the legacy recordings at the Levoires for EVE to "find."

I may have some clarity regarding RAFFY and its mention of the Airborne Squad (between 25:46 - 29:00). You would certainly never find "Angel" on a human-owned computer system--it's a moniker used by the *Andro-Eidos* throughout the game in reference to EVE, Lily, and other Airborne Squad members. However, I do not believe RAFFY's application of the term in the Log Data "Attack Detected" is a mistake. The Journal "Kill Mother Sphere," which is also found in Abyss Levoire, states "ANDROIDS ARE RAINING DOWN ON OUR EARTH THEY KEEP COMING AND COMING AND COMING THEY ARE ANGELS OF DEATH THEY WILL KILL US ALL OUR PLAN IS THE ONLY HOPE WE MUST EVOLVE THAT IS THE ONLY ANSWER...". Conclusively written by "old" humanity, this journal describes what might have been the beginning of Mother Sphere's EVE Protocol. The Eidos 7 Memorystick "Respite of the Hopeful" complements the journal and shines light on one of the game's many dualistic motifs: "Just received the comms signal from a new unit. The EVE Protocol begins. Angels of Death will descend from the Colony. They will rid Naytibas from Earth and save us. Mother Sphere's salvation is nigh. I'm thankful I lived through this hell for decades." The Legionnaire's memory is additional evidence that EVE is not called "Angel" because she is beautiful or fell from space, but because she and her contemporaries are perceived as "Angels of Death," by both their human enemies and android allies. Whether this is coincidence or evidence of Mother Sphere's dark humor is speculation. Regarding the timeline, the "Lost 72 Years" could be referencing the actual length of time Mother Sphere has been absent from Earth, considering "The Last Words of the Hopeless" recounts that "decades have passed since the appearance of Naytibas and the evacuation of humankind to the Colony," and "Lament of the Disappointed" states Mother Sphere left the people of Earth "for decades" (and sent shabby soldiers to boot).
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын

Honestly I think the whole reason Shift Up changed the name from NA:tives to Naytiba is because someone told them it made it way too obvious too early in the plot for English speakers that the enemies are mutated humans. And changing the name did work to obfuscate this plot point, I was on the Stellar Blade subreddit and a Korean-American player admitted even he did not realize the true significance of the Naytiba name until near the end of the game despite being a fluent Korean speaker.

I believe there was a mistake in the writing of the Stellar Blade Story that was not detected. The creation of the Angels happened after the Naytiba took over the Earth. There had to be other android units that Raffy was referring to when Mother Sphere found their location. I was questioning the contradiction as well.
@unlistednaytiba5 ай бұрын
Either could be a mistake or something else that was pointed out to me: Perhaps Adam continues to use the location. We know that either he or Raven goes back to plant the infinity cells for EVE to find, so Adam could still have access to the levoirs and continue to use them even after the final war is over.

The computers are still running. If the logs go directly from the labs to Adam's ship, the airborne squad could be refering to literally Raven's group. And the computer is referring to the naytiba in the test tubes who are still alive, but still unstable. Unless there is a definitive point where Raffy dies, it might as well still be running to the end of the game, but Adam cannot go inside the labs because they are now guarded, thus the connection between just raffy and the ship. Tl;dr Adam and raffy have a direct link without having to go into the labs that are now guarded, and he's keeping track of those test subjects up to gameplay. Some logs were active weeks ago.

as @AICW mentioned, I think Raphael Marks / Eidos did create with the intention of being able to maintain "control" through the backdoors, however it's difficult to know at what point did Raphael Marks/real organic human beings have control and at what point did that control turn over to Mother Sphere because the narrative implies at a point, they were both in control of Eidos until MS started to create AI on her own. I think because she was an ASI, she simply grew at an astonishing and uncontrollable rate until she was able to quickly take over - she supported the Androids so this is why they quickly "won".
