The Peninsula south Of Adelaide is named Fleurieu Peninsula which has the place Encounter Bay at its bottom Named after Baudin's Hydrographer. The only thing missing was any tales of his Cat Trim who joined him on the voyage

I hope many of you learning this history for the first time learn there was no RACE. Two separate journeys were created without the other knowing. They unexpectedly bump into each other in Uncharted territory. I have loved both their stories since I visited Frenchmans rock in 1974 on Kangaroo Island when I was 9 ,48 years ago
