so i've had fun with a roster of nba players in their prime before, but this time (thanks to a comment suggestion) i decided to put each prime player onto the team they were on in their prime... it sounds confusing but it's not - let's see what this alternate nba universe looks like!

Here's an idea. I haven't watched basketball in a while but last time I checked there were 12 players to a roster. So the idea is to take the 360 greatest basketball players of all time, in their prime years, have them all drafted by the 30 teams in 12 rounds and see which roster wins.

Yeah he was at his best defensively those years and the same offensively but I think people don't count those years because I mean how hard could it be for a superstar player to play better on a 73 win team.

yep. Efficiency, defence, iq, he also became more clutch. His game wasn't limited to just iso,, that's where he learned to play fluidly and offball. 2016-17 warriors were unstoppable

The thing is, KD has probably had a “MVP-caliber” season in every team he’s been (except the Suns cause he only played a few games), his MVP season in OKC was insane, his overall game elevated in GSW’s system, and his overall basketball IQ went even further on the Nets, putting historic performances there, but if I had to say, I’d choose 2021 Nets KD.

So he was the most complete player that season with the most pts as a scorer and nearly same rebounds and assists as his peak stats. He was lesser of a scorer and averaged more rebounds in GSW and became more of a playmaker on Nets. But MVP KD did basically everything combined for a whole season while he played a bit less games on GSW and very limited games for Nets

I actually did a roster similar but just did the current roster and put them in their prime and the results are absolutely crazy with the clippers gettin first seed in the west and Celtics first seed in the east

I wish u would've changed the positions for some of the players For example, Clippers u could've converted Gallo to the 3 and Norm to the 2 so the better ovr players played Or for the Raptors run Siakam at the 5 and Kawhi at 4 instead of having 78 ovr Precious being the starting center. Maybe this is something you've already done, but have you ever considered taking the teams and using all players that have ever played for them, but all in their prime? For example, Shaq, D-rose, and Dwyane Wade all played for the Cavs, but what if it was their prime? and so on for every team

Shouldn't have asked people's opinion. It is clear where and when everyone's prime was... You could just look at the age and calculate and find which year it was. Also, Kd's prime was definetely not on OKC if you look at the real ratings 2k had, the only 97 KD was on the warriors
