Spurs is tasking a rookie to guard the league's best offensive guards. Shai, Luka, Steph etc. He has the size and IQ to put clamps on anyone. Coach Hurley was right all along. The Spurs drafted a bigger version of Jrue Holiday in Castle. He will be #1 in a re-draft of his class a few years from now. All Defensive First Team and All Star written all over this kid.

Castle comparisons with Jimmy Butler on offense and Jrue Holiday on defense. His poise and basketball IQ has been the most impressive as it translated to the NBA smoothly. His shooting percentages are still poor and it needs immediate improvement. He has already cleaned up turnovers which is more important. Excited to see Vassell comeback to full health to see how this new big 3 could do together.

I’m Mavs fan but if Castle is not ROY, I’ll be shocked. I know there are several top players getting their footing now but this guy is going to be special. His length and defensive ability is next level. Mavs are definitely watching these guys. Spurs are doing more than just building a good team.

Edey would have been nice but I think with his weight he is going to have leg issues later in his career like others that tall and heavey. I wish people understood body types more & how they translate physically. As a martial artist I get this stuff even using it in basketball myself. What a lot don't get is it's a different process forcing height over weight. Hints why Victor shots so many threes & doesn't force his presence in the paint. As much as people are expecting him too on offense. He rather picks his moments than force it. I do think he should find his paint game a little more. Just not like a traditional big man I would suggest. He more uses his foot work & hight for the mid rage. To get some easy shots nobody could really block plus some crazy floaters. Only he could pull off than just let players fed him under the basket. Rather than trying to get there himself unless the lane is open. Or unless he sees & creates an opening. That is most likely assured a easy dunk or lay up. The thing is he could do so much it's tough finding out what he should be doing. Regularly compared to what he can in general being he holds so much potential & capability. It really is crazy plus he's still young give him time. And he'll find his thing cuz he knows his game already. It's just about sharpening the tools & polishing the skills on some real.

Spurs about to have back to back ROTY… Castle is a 2-way player (like Wemby). If he keeps it up he should be ROTY. Mc Cain is a scorer and… that’s it. Castle is an all around player… Damn, the Spurs have basically secured their next Dinasty with the last 2 drafts… They don’t even need to tank anymore tbh.. The Only other GOATS who have both offense and defense is Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon. And neither of them have Wemby’s 3 point shooting ability.
