I know Paul struggles with reading comprehension, but I think it is time to stop with the narrative that this punishment was from him buying someone a cheeseburger. In fact, the report from the NCAA says he didn't even do that. The burger was for himself. He was just dumb enough to turn in the receipt as an expense that proved he had impermissible contact with a recruit. We should also note that he ordered the burger for breakfast. No shame from me on that, though. A burger with a fried egg on it is truly magical. None of this means anything, though. He's right, this has absolutely no direct effect. What it does is set them up to get a more severe punishment for their actual cheating on the field since they can now be deemed repeat offenders. As a fan, I BARELY care about recruiting violations to be honest. Every successful school in the country has always done shady things in recruiting. Is it hilarious that it is Michigan now when their fans 5 years ago loved to pretend to be high and mighty and explained away their mediocrity by claiming it was because they were the only school following the rules? @@Littlethelion There was no difference between him and those coaches. Michigan played two games a year in the Big 10, Ohio St and Penn St. He was there a decade and only beat OH 3 times. All 3 in the last 3 years while they were CHEATING. Only 3 conference games out of 9 seasons and a 2-7 bowl record. They started cheating cuz they needed it lol
