The near future in French | Le futur proche | Learn French | French grammar

The near future tense, in french we call it "Le futur proche". This tense is the easiest to learn in French, we use it the exact same way as the near future in English. We conjugate ALLER - To go, present tense, and then we add the infinitive of the action verb.

Merci pour cette vidéo .Le futur proche c'est une brillante invention par les Français pour mieux aider les anglophones en difficulté avec la conjugaison des verbes! L'infinitif, c'est toujours plus simple.😂 Je trouve intéressant qu'on fait la comparaison entre le futur proche en français et la même chose en anglais. J'observe que le futur proche en français est utilisé pour exprimer une action qui va se dérouler dans un avenir très proche du présent. Mais je me demande si c'est le cas tout le temps ou s'il y a des exceptions à la règle..?. Car c'est bien le cas en anglais qu'on peut utiliser le futur proche pour décrire des actions qui vont se dérouler dans un avenir plus lointain. For example it is quite common in English to hear people say things like 'I AM GOING TO visit the United States for my holidays next year'. or I AM GONG to retire from my job in 2065 or Our planet, Earth, IS GOING TO disintegrate in a giant fireball in 1 million years because of global warming. I wonder if it would be acceptable or not to use le futur proche in the above examples...
