Dear Chris, I’ve only just now been able to get into Facebook, and have just heard your latest health update. I’m so sad and shocked to hear about the wrong chemo given to you, and that you’ll need to now go onto a different sort of medication. Such a terrible blow, when it seemed you were almost out the other end to good health again. I’m also so sorry to hear about your very long standing friend Nick. I know you were both such great friends, and that you’ve been such a support to him over many years. What a very sad loss. So, roll on the next treatment that’s decided on, and that it will, I’m sure, bring great results, and our well again Chris. Lots of love Ruth xxx ❤️❤️

Really sorry to hear that the chemo hasn't worked as well as it should. It sounds as though you still have options which is good. Your sharing over this period has been inspirational and I hope you can continue to use it all creatively. I love the ideas in your writing - connecting things up backwards is such an insight and the thoughts about your mum ring true of that unique relationship we all have in different ways. I really likes the Nick song when you first sent it round but now it has a deeper poignancy. The thread we have with our few childhood friends are the most direct of our lives and losing one of those throws you off balance. I'm glad he got to hear the song.
