The need for a seizure prediction tool to optimize epilepsy treatment

Thomas Spain, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK, comments on the need for developing tools to allow general neurologists to optimize anti-seizure medication for patients with epilepsy. The development of specialist clinical prediction models will enable neurologists to more effectively assess the response of a patient to the medication being administered and will inform when a change in the agent or dosage is necessary. This interview took place at the 15th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC) 2024 in Rome, Italy.
