You could give the characters (I mean The Flash's friends) some likeable personalities, then make those characters have personal problems that Barry could help out with, or The Flash could assist other people with projects and stuff. *Some* of The Flash's enemies are powerful enough to not get surprised attacked or relocated, like Reverse Flash, Zoom, Cicada, King Shark and Joseph Monteleone. The writers could think creatively and have the villains come up with some clever plans, like imagine there was some heavy bomb and The Flash has to find out how to disarm it safely or Captain Cold could shoot ice onto the floor to make it too slippery for The Flash to run on.

@@RightBoyKA-POW Yes but there also needs to be filler. Like with Devoe and the bus metas. If Flash just captured all the bus metas, surprising them, that will be half the season gone. As all of them are rounded up and Devoe can just easily take them over. Also Barry has done it before, meta cuffing villains instantly in some episodes. But those were just minor episodes, filmed to make more episodes in the season.

Do you get to take a break from the actual story/plot and add some moments, or parts, that show the characters' personalities and have a few funny moments here and there, or are fillers more like little details of what is happening in some parts of a story?

Yeah. By lookin' at this, it seems they realized that the Forces that Barry created was being possessed by its negative ones, which totally caused by Eobard Thawne, it seems. The same time those Forces getting weaker when they take over their bodies. Gotta know what happened to them tho. Can't wait to see it..
