After seeing this video decided to look up Monte Blanc and the tunnel. On the French side there is a cable car that goes up to 3800m(Aiguille du midi) plus another that goes to Helbronner, both look spectacular. We'll be doing this next year thanks to your video!

RE; the motorcyclist's, were they taken to hospital? I always wore one piece leathers for riding and racing. I'm surprised to hear that your going to Paris, so soon. I felt my blood pressure rising watching the first part of the video 😤 really awful to come across an accident just after it happened -so glad you were able to help, but I can imagine how you must have felt afterwards. pleased you were able to give great help at the accident site. I am sure the biker will feel himself lucky that you were there. Ref Mont Blanc tunnel charges, available via the internet, the reason why it was so expensive is that your van must be over 3 metres high. Under 3 metres the cost is 64.50 euros. France is renowned for having to wear budgie smugglers in swimming pools. I learned this the hard way too. Safe travels.

Hi, We went through the tunnel in August from France one way about €63 with a 2 +1/2 hr queue. Not sure about your price quoted is it more the other way? I only remember one campsite with a swimming pool perhaps more appropriate for frogs but we just saw the funny side as we never intended to use anyway.

You are right! Our friends paid £66 we got measured and charged £177 because of the size we were shocked following an hours wait to get to the front as we would have chosen another route beforehand nevermind it’s all experiences haha XxRR

Just saying, but building and maintains a tunnel like that wasn’t free, and just like the channel tunnel it takes years to recoup the investment made in building it which is why the tolls are what they are. Still a shock though I imagine.

I've very much enjoyed watching your European adventures and seeing the wonderful places you visited but I've also come to the conclusion that a lot of places are an absolute rip off! It would be better to stay at site's that come recommended from people that have stayed previously, I realise this isn't always that easy as it would take a considerable amount of time and effort to organise such a tour.

We did go at peak season too so we were expecting higher prices but didn’t enjoy the hidden extras or the false advertisement we created unnecessary drama. I don’t think that the extortionate fee for the tunnel, was in any way justified. Just another way of ripping visitors off for every Euro, they can get. You’ve obviously not had the best of times, there. I must give you loads of credit for helping out at the scene of a road accident. Loads of people wouldn’t have the decency or consideration to do what you did. I hope that things only get better for you all, surely they only can improve after the expensive and trying time you have just gone through. At least there was fun in the water later on.
