As others said, I also didn't expect for this show to get past the 1st season, let alone the 5th, but I am really glad it did. Even though it's not a top comedy show, I still laugh at least once per every episode. However, most importantly, it always makes me smile, as the characters are nice and sweet, the plot is fun, and it's one of the very few comedy series where there's no character that ever annoyed me, not even Tina. I hope it will go on for a long time and I wish them all the best!

So I compared this trailer to the first trailer with the different actors for Dave and Gemma, and one thing I notice is that everyone had to put it more work in the other trailer to compensate for what the original Dave and Jemma actors were lacking in charisma and personality. I understand the premise, a black neighborhood slowley accepts the new super nice and understanding white neighbors, but I feel if a white man was imitating a "black" man's voice and this moving in situation was reversed, this would be considered racist. I don't see how most of this trailer was funny either, it looks terrible, just...terrible.

I actually think they are trying to subvert stereotypes a little because the white family is the one moving into an affluent community with POC. Instead of having it the other way around (like other shows have done in the past). And the dad clearly has some prejudices and assumptions about the neighbors. It's obvious that the show will be about the two families bonding and creating a friendship with light-hearted racially focused jokes to show that color is only skin deep. This idea has been done plenty of times and the trailer was not funny. But, you are reading way too much into this and you just want to use this as a "whoa is me" opportunity.

I liked it, it was nice. The show peaked at episode 2 tho. It was nice. Afair, episode 2 didn't have that much race speak. It was more about their differences as fathers. They essentially do a little son swap, where Calvin plays ball with the grover the little kid, and Dave helps Malcom fix a pipe. It's nice, makes the feels good.

I enjoy this show, I started watching it because of Beth (I adore 2 Broke Girls) and Tichina and I love their chemistry on screen. I miss watching Kat and Beth together, I hope they can give Kat a cameo or make some references to 2 Broke Girls. I remember some scenes with cupcakes like when Gemma ordered some for Grover’s birthday party and I was waiting for Gemma to be like “Oh, I have a history with cupcakes!”

The one thing I hate, even though its comedy, is the fact that it's a white couple moving next door to a black couple and when they see its a white man who answers, their face.... Imagine it was a white couple and a black man answers, even tho it's a comedy, the uproar it would cause!!!!

I wonder what would happen to this show if the theme was a parody of It's a Beautiful Day in This Neighborhood, and replace the word "Neighbor" with n****r. Would that make things worse?

I don't think you know what reverse racism is. But there is a little bit of that in the show. Racism against white people is still racism. Reverse racism is like regular racism, except instead of being against, you're being for.
