- 'To imagine' its the first ep with colors in the cover. -In this video it ends going color. -'To imagine' it's a different kind of sound as what we're shown to listen. -The new merch it's with colors too. This is a new era, I don't see anything wrong with it, it's true that "they dont sound the same" or whatever, but shit, the new songs are amazing, I'm enjoying each sound and meaning of the songs. they're experimenting new sounds that makes you feel different and maybe that's what they want you to feel. Just ENJOY their new work, it's not bad.

ehhh... only recent song that really didn't impress me was dust and maybe stuck with me. Their songs are still good it's just the.... color.... I really want them to keep that aesthetic because it's something that drew me to them in the first place. I saw them in 2015 at Kroq almost acoustic christmas and wondered why the big screens were in black and white and then I searched them up and got into them. So I dont know if anyone else has picked up, but this is a new chapter for the Neighbourhood and Jesse as an artist. This video, especially the end is pretty significant and the way I interpret it is that Jesse isn't really leaving the band so much as stepping away and there're two things to note: Everyone's picked up on the switch from the monochromatic vision of Jesse, literally, visually and metaphorically, to the colour, of course this means that they are moving away from their previous aesthetic which underlines their songs and music videos. You also have Jesse walking away from the rest of the band at the end, going in opposite directions, and not being in the final shot with the rest of his band-mates. Jesse pursuing his solo career makes sense in this context and now the band will focus perhaps more on the creative decisions of the rest of the band. I have no idea why i wrote this i guess I'm just melancholic but this isnt the end for 'The Neighbourhood', I've never heard a bad song from them and they are masters of atmosphere. While Jesse might be taking a step away he probably isn't really leaving but shifting creative ordinance as to continue his solo carer (& is amazing). Again, idk why i did this.

I think it has a lot to do with "Wires", a song about one of Jesse's friends who got into the pop industry and couldn't be creative and was essentially a puppet. There's a lot of imagery that matches up with their other albums.

A theory: When they are in the house that's under construction with "Stuck with Me" playing in the background: it could mean that the band is going to get a makeover and "remodel" their sound or whatever it could be. They look like they're having a discussion altogether maybe about the band, their sound, and their vision or coming up with new ways to "improve" and let their sound grow. 'Stuck with Me' playing in that scene could mean that even if the band changes, they know that we'll still stick together with them and they will do the same for us as well. At the end, Jesse is on the phone outside by himself while the other members go outside and sit down all together without Jesse. Maybe Jesse is talking to their management about agreeing to continue pursuing his solo career which could mean leaving the band all together?? "Sadderdaze" playing could represent that from now on, the days won't be the same because Jesse isn't there anymore?? "They keep on using me" could mean that the industry is trying to make him change and he doesn't want to be put under pressure anymore so he's deciding to leave the band. (my grammar and interpretation sucks lmao sorry i never learned how to read)

I have been around a long time since the neighborhood started. It's great to see how far the came, they were quiet but now they are back. I still listen to all their old music and i still listen to their new ones.. I love the band so much, they made great accomplishments and I would want to meet with them personally and see the drive they had to just keep going. They may not be so freaking popular but in my mind they are, I've gone threw a lot in my life, and still am. All I have to do is listen to their music and I'm cured. The Neighborhood is growing up.. we all are.. and when the day comes I hope I will meet them on the other side. To share a conversation with them, to meet them. If you look close at the end you can see that Jesse goes in another direction than the other band members, I think it’s a sign or symbol for him making his solo career and making music alone and just the way in the video he’s going in another direction with his music.
