The Nerd Holes : Godzilla Minus One Cast

It has been so long since all three Nerd Holes got together to talk about a movie, i want to say Uncharted. What a fever dream that movie was. Anyways... We got together to talk about one of our new Favorite movies of the year and probably a movie that takes a spot on our top 10 movies list of all time. We had so much fun watching this movie and talking about it, i tried my best to keep us on track there was just so much to talk about.

Was a big fan of this film, it definitely had one of the most realistic vibes of all the films, as realistic as this sort of movie can be. And the plot of the film on the human scale itself was pretty good all on its own.

Totally agree! Its good all the way around, what makes it so good is the yeah godzilla is unrealistic, but everything else was grounded. That's what makes you feel apart of it and doesn't take you out of it. Just because its a giant monster movie it doesn't have to be a cartoon, speaking of next week we are talking about Godzilla x Kong lol

@@theplasticundergroundprops1035 yeah, I really liked Minus One a lot. I sometimes dislike the downtime in lots of Godzilla films, but Minus One had a really compelling drama just amongst the humans. Very human-scale and great characters, the Godzilla parts were just delicious icing on the cake. As for Godzilla x Kong from 2021, I low-key kinda liked that one still, as well as the two Legendary Godzilla films before it too. The 4th one was ehhhhh though... I liked the Godzilla/Monarch TV series though, it was surprisingly interesting. But yeah, Minus One was great. And obviously they're kinda leaving it open for a sequel, which I didn't expect. That said, I'm curious to see where it might go cause the Legendary ones are starting to stray too far from outside some of the stuff I like about existing Godzilla canon

Totaly agree! We had a lot of fun watching Godzilla x Kong. It's a fun time. Idk where they're going, lol We need to check out the monarch show for sure. I hope we get a minus one sequel. It's a great time to be a Godzilla fan, that is for sure!

Nice review guys im really glad you all enjoyed it as much as my brother and I did seeing it in the cinema. Caleb nailed it when he said its just a good love story. It takes place in an interesting time setting and its really easy to sympathize with the characters and you really want to see them succeed. Yall are right that everyones acting was great and The Engineer was easily the best of the crew though i loved em all. I hope yall check out Shin Godzilla too i loved that movie, too, especially its portrayal of Godzilla, which i found to be very fascinating and terrifying. Thanks for the review!

Great clips! Fun podcast! And even though Pacific Rim was a good film, I think Kaiju Month really kicked off with this film. Good stuff all the way around.

You should check out Shin Godzilla too if your interested like you mentioned in the video, I loved this movie and honestly it's a better movie but I think Shin Godzilla has my favorite/better looking Godzilla and at least in my opinion he's more of a character than in this movie. Both are good in different ways but anyway hope you have a good one!

Hands down 1998 made the best Godzilla movie. Matthew Broderick the Zilla thrillah, aka Zillastragulah, aka Godzilla slayah the third aka Dr. Punch Godzilla in the face aka Matthew Broderick killing Godzilla then befriending Godzilla then killing Godzilla with that Busta Ryhmes video aka Llama impersonator on the weekends… aka Matthew Broderick the third, aka David Lightman, aka Matthew in the City… and the list goes on

My personal favorite is Farris Bueller's horrible no good Godzilla rampage day. Can you believe on the day he decided to pull hooky from school a Kaiju made land fall on Long Beach? Talk about a crazy day off
