Dude I just wanna say that I've been in the Nerf hobby for 6-7 years now and have came and gone multiple times, but I swear you just got my invested into Nerf for the 10th time with your content I love your style, it's so much different than your average Nerf content, more personal, relatable, and focused on enjoyment rather than mod potential and raw performance

I own a Phoenix and a Stryfe, and with my experiences with both of them, I can compare the two. Both my Phoenix and Stryfe are in stock condition. Design: The Stryfe’s design looks nice, but I adore the Phoenix’s design more. The Phoenix is symmetrical, and it looks cute! It looks like as if a Stryfe kept a bunch of acorns in its cheeks for winter, like a squirrel. I have a feeling the Phoenix could be used as a “Heavier-duty” Stryfe, since it has a lot of tactical rails that someone could put all their attachments on, and it’s already a heavier blaster than the Stryfe, too. The Phoenix also has very tiny sling points, almost as if they aren’t there… Weight: The Phoenix is definitely heavier than the Stryfe, probably because a lot of plastic is there, (Yes, and the plastic clips too!!! Yippee!) and also because the batteries are there too. Quality: Hands down, the Stryfe was definitely made with more heart and soul than the Phoenix. The Stryfe has no clips, and feels nice and tough. The Phoenix on the other hand was done dirty. The poor little thing has visible plastic clips that you can see if you look hard enough. Also, I’m pretty sure someone else’s Phoenix has this issue, but whenever I tilt my Phoenix to the left, the flywheel sounds like constipation. If I remember correctly, apparently the Phoenix’s internals (If you’re lucky enough to get them out) STILL FUNCTION WHEN THEY’RE OUT OF THE BLASTER. I’m just imagining in my brain of the Pheonix’s internals out of their skin still revving and wiggling, just like those “dead meat still moving” videos. Revtrigger: The Stryfe’s revtrigger feels better, and has a nice click to it. Firing trigger: Both firing triggers feel nice and smooth, but the Stryfe’s firing trigger functions faster. Magazine-ejector: The Phoenix’s magazine ejector being in the main trigger guard might be a lot more easy to get used to, since when you’re done firing, you can easily toss your finger forward, and take out the mag, and you don’t have to worry about accidentally dropping your mag on the ground, since the mag is held very tightly in the mag-weld, which I’ll mention later. Mag-weld: Putting a mag in either the Stryfe and Phoenix both feel smooth, with the Styfe’s mag entering quicker. But I feel like the Phoenix’s tight mag-weld is actually pretty good, you don’t need to worry about the mag falling out and getting damaged, and since the magazine-ejecting trigger is inside of the trigger guard, if you accidentally touch the Mag ejector, the mag is still in the mag-weld nice and tight. Jam/access door: Yep, the Stryfe’s access door is several times better. The Pheonix’s Access door is flimsy, opens up oddly, and can just come right out similarly to a clip of an M1 Garand. But don’t worry, if you lose your Pheonix’s access door, the blaster can still… function without it… God, no wonder Hasbro clipped and stuck the thing together, the Pheonix would be too powerful if it’s internals were properly modified. My opinion: A Stryfe or Phoenix in stock form are both pretty fine, but whether you like one over the other, it might depend on how you like your blasters. If you like engineering, like classic blasters, or just want a compact, reliable flywheel blaster, the Stryfe might be for you. If you like keeping blasters in stock condition, and like tactics (MINUS SLINGMOUNTS), the Phoenix might be for you. Conclusion: The Phoenix is an ok blaster when compared to the Stryfe, but it could’ve had way more potential.

You’re so right about the weighting. I put a barrel and an extendable stock on to fix the issue. I’ve got a barrel with a modulus handle on top so I can hip hold it and fire it like a mini gun with a 35 barrel. Pop that off and lengthen the stock to fire as a rifle. It looks cool but it doesn’t need to exist when the stryfe does everything better.

Contender enjoyer here, it’s like they fired the person who designed the Phoenix and hired someone from DZ who made the Stormcharge

Bought a Phoenix not knowing how bad it was overall. I never had trouble with it though, so it was a good compensation for until I got a Stryfe. What I don’t like the most is the color not matching everything else I had.

If you don’t have a Stryfe, the Phoenix will work for you fine.. then you get the Stryfe and learn what quality is

The Phoenix was ok. Performance was standard. Grip was ok. The front end was weighted too much due battery location. With a stock the blaster feels much better. The tactical rails were nice. The scope was cool though. Mag release for two hand operation wasn’t horrible. I recently gave mine to a friend’s kid who didn’t have a lot of blasters.

The blaster isn’t the worst thing I’d ever seen, and if it’s part of a limited collection, I can see people being happy with it But it really shouldn’t have been marketed to replace the Stryfe, that’s the biggest reason this blaster is as bad as it actually is

The motoblitz doesn’t fit into the same category, and is much larger. The rayven is a bull pup and is so hard to find that it’s honestly not worth looking at unless you’re filthy rich

Mine recently broke and it doesn't fire anymore because the top flywheel is wobbly and the bottom one doesn't spin.(btw I have a review of it )And the worst thing is that I paid 40€ for it (€1 is about the same as a $1).

So the only real problem with this blaster is the fact that the motor 'could' have some defects due to poor quality control? This seems to be the only real problem, otherwise, it's a toy, not an airsoft replica (I have quite a few), it's okay if it's not balanced or not very comfortable to operate. Honestly, I only worry about the fact that you shoot with an average force and that it doesn't jam / break. For the rest, it's ok for a very affordable price (in 2024)
@TesserasNerfRoom7 ай бұрын
If you can find one for like 15 or 20 dollars I guess? But otherwise the stryfe is just so much more pleasant to use
@giosue_2227 ай бұрын
@@TesserasNerfRoom yes, I'm Italian and I find it around 27 dollars (25€), which isn't much considering that the stryfe is practically impossible to buy as it is no longer available. Other blasters like the Motoblitz cost (30€) $32

@@TesserasNerfRoom Yes, I can order it, but it costs $38 + $14 shipping, plus I really don't like the color (but it's my thing). Anyway, I appreciate your help 🫶🏻
@TesserasNerfRoom7 ай бұрын
@@giosue_222 I would honestly try to go with that, or try to get a motoblitz, this blaster has terrible longevity and is designed to kill itself after a while, so you'd have to replace it after a year anyways but if you're out of other options, the phoenix does work, questionably yes, but it works
