The reason the fps dropped is due to how co2 cans work, its just one large resevoir of co2 so the pressure in the whole thing drops with each shot, lowering the fps.

That's such a cool thing. If it could be dialed down to 100 I bet LARPers would eat it up. Both parts of the cylinder painted/printed the same color would make it looks even better. 3d model for the scales for even more customization...

Important note for UK viewers, anything powered by 'co2 capsules' are legally considered weapons regardless of actual performance. So using this in a nerf/larp/airsoft/paintball, is considered assault and you go to prison. Which sucks. On a more technical note. I'd probably extend the cylinder forwards and brass it. You'd want to test different lengths to see what gave the highest muzzle velocity, but using brass will give you a massive increase in consistency. I'd also really shorten the 'barrel' piece, as that's only really a scar housing. I've never had any success with 3d printed scar surfaces, but using it as a 3d printed housing for the classic fishing wire should give you the performance without any of the detriments. Certainly there's a lot of potential here for those who can actually use it.

I am definitely going to go to Walmart and get a few of these to mod up and battle with my kids.super cool.i think if you add an inch or two of barrel and get a little more air through it maybe bore the air channel out and have you thought about cutting about 30% of the end of the darts off? When I was a kid we used to cut the shank down about a half inch and jam pencil erasers up the end of a few darts and save them for long range shots.proved effective up to about 50ft with predictable accuracy.i think you’re really into something here

That co2 is a Crosman Vigilante, and I own one of those, it can shoot Pellets or BB's. .177 Cal / 4.5 mm Pellets .177 Cal / 4.5 mm BB's

Interesting note: one could theoretically load this with a cardboard-disc base, some airsoft BBs (6mm = .24cal = theoretically 2 per layer in a .50cal chamber) and another cardboard disc as a cover and use it as a shotgun for airsoft purposes, depending on how much power output it has. Since the base gun sends .177 pellets out at 425 FPS, it might be possible. Half-darts would definitely make nice slugs for such purposes, considering that’s its intended ammunition. Overall, this thing looks sweet, regardless of how you use it! The cylinder system reminds me to some extent of cap-and-ball revolvers, though (obviously) these are far easier to swap in and out on the fly. Might get/make one myself in the future!

It's hard to tell with the white on white, but it almost looks the timing is bit off (as in, as the hammer is cocked, how the cylinder lines up with the barrel in time), which would be the cause of the fluctuating velocities and random fliers.

I would say brass the cylinders for consistent dart fit as 3D would vary on dart fitting. The other part I would say leave it as is cuz obviously the gap would expel majority of air out so brassing the other half may lead to jamming. And as well definitely would depend on dart type. Otherwise it looks good, and keep up the vids mate 🤠👍

Yeah this might be better, but an upgraded spring magpie is better, also if you buy a magpie, you have 2 options of grip, plastic, or wood, 3D printed wood, and plus it shoots 156 with worker darts, haven't checked shooting waffles, if you wanna load, you load it like an actual revolver by the side like the maverick and strongarm, the best part is, You can buy more cylinders then having only 1, i have 4 meaning i have 5 cylinders

This is amazing to see and also painful; I spent 100$+ on a similar kit from a different producer. It doesn't work and nothing I have done will make it work; so I decided to do something else with the pistol body and I'm much happier with it now. I've made it use Spring Thunder shells ala the Ashot from Metro. But this is another great review Walcom, and it's good to see the option for something like this (is functional) is still on the table. Hope to see more done with it.

Dude, I know you're dealing with foam darts. I know it's a fairly heavy pull on a double action system. I realize you probably have a lot of experience with air-charged Nerf style guns. But, I got a tell you, as a weapon's instructor I'm laughing my ass off watching you continually point it at your face to see if it's loaded. Otherwise, I REALLY love the idea of that thing.
