This series shows The Netherlands from a spectacular perspective. Through data visualizations, impressive aerial images and portraits of people on the ground, we show who we are and how time changes and has changed the country.
Over the past 100 years the population of Netherlands has increased by around 10 million. In order to provide accommodation for everyone, we have built millions of houses. We now live in centuries-old canal houses, in new housing estates, or on the water in house boats.

If I was a Dutch, I would be proud af of where I'd be from... You're living in an extraordinary country and I hope that one day I'll visit the Netherlands. :) Greetings from Slovakia.

When I think of some of the most resourceful people on Earth the Dutch are definitely in the top 10. Also some of the most respectful people on Earth. I'm still astonished, how even to this day, Canadian veterans, war graves, and soldiers are treated and honoured. I remember one Remembrance day seeing in a video at school how an entire Dutch village would go to a Canadian World War II cemetery on Christmas eve to honour Fallen veterans with candles. Almost to make sure they're not alone even though they're so far away from their home. Bit emotional thinking of that. Mad respect for you guys. Definitely one of the best countries and peoples on earth. ♥️ 🇳🇱 From 🇨🇦

Baie Dankie. Een ongeloolijke mooije video. "Nederland Boven" is ook net baie prakties bedoeling. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to vist the land of my forefathers in 1998-2000 AD.

The episode titles in this season are messed up a bit. The title of this episode should actually be "The Netherlands from above - E6/10 - Water, friend or enemy?"
