I remember feeling this feeling of separation when very young, I remember the moment of feeling separate from my Mother and thinking...we are all really all alone in this world. Then it gets forgotten but this memory surfaces every once in a while throughout my life

Same here, John. I distinctly remember the feeling I got from when I felt this aloneness while playing with my toys on my bedroom floor and remember thinking to myself "Why can't I see from anyone else's eyes but my own?" And from that point on I had a background feeling of existential dread of being alone for pretty much my entire life till now. I'm still working on that and seem to be dealing with it much better with every meditation.

Then why I understand from Rupert’s words is that the Neti Neti process of the infant runs in the opposite directions of the one performed by the spiritual seeker. In other words the Neti Neti is like the water cycle in which the bast ocean water first appears as a non localized water vapor in the clouds then turn into liquid water then it drops into the River and after many many experiences and struggling with its life returns to the the ocean of pure consciousness. Thank you Rupert many many times your teachings provoque this kind of wonderful understanding.

Thank you. neti neti is very insightful. I lead neti neti sessions in UK and many people have benefited from it.

Do you have a channel? There’s not much great stuff on it, that I’ve found, at least here in YTUBE. Cheers

When people are ready to know their true nature, they will seek it out. Do not force it, because forcing won't work anyway. Simply live according to your understanding of your true nature, and people will be naturally drawn to it when they are ready.

Thing is they are not just cultural things, they are also pure curiosity. We see what we see, then as we use language we communicate things. I guess you have to find your own balance between the sheer opacity of wonder and the defined, material aspects of Life and that is an ongoing process.

I think infants actually can recognise their mothers. Because if you remove an infant from their biological mother straight after birth then it has consequenses for its health (since a lot of the vasopressin and oxytocin bonding hormones are released when they are close).

Child doesn't know or not is a matter of neti neti. That is we don't know.
