I agree with Lawrence yet again. The newer trucks have way too much “junk” on them. There are sensors that tell you if a sensor is working. I liked the old days when you raised the hood you could actually see the ground below and only had oil, heat and battery sending units!

Now you can't see 2 inches deep in the engine compartment .but they want it that way so they have to work on it and charge us ridiculous amounts of money for labor and parts. Maybe going electric will be better for that reason but I'm sure not for it. It's getting so expensive to buy anything today we may all be reverting back to horse and buggy soon. Amish here we come! LOL

@@dandaniels4558 I am a certified master technician. Also the fleet shop I worked in was authorized to do warranty repairs on Dodge , Ford and General motors vehicles. I have no problem working with all the computers systems ect. I don't like the trend of not installing dip sticks and drain plugs that is common today. I also don't like using a transmission flush machine because the filter never gets replaced.

I lobbied in our state for Votech/ Ag skill schools for 10 years before they would pay attention. Funding in jeopardy now. So glad to see your state has a leg up, great programs and trade schools for the Farm kids

There is some much interesting technology today. When I was in high school in the mid 60s my guidance counselor that was leading me on my career path told me when I said I would like take electronics. That electronics had nothing to do with automobiles, it won't work. I like the way LB comes up with a way to keep all the equipment going.

I have a RAM 2500 and it tows great, no lift kit on it. I had to buy a large adjustable ball mount to get the the ball down low enough to keep the trailer level. You can tow 17000 lbs with that truck.

A leveling kit won’t keep you from pulling trailers or the bigger tires it would be more of a pain in the butt to pull that kit off which is only spacers in the front coil springs which will only bring the front of your truck down and ur tire size is only a size bigger than stock I wouldn’t mess with it honestly get a drop hitch and you will be fine it would also cost u a lot just to take it off but if u guys have any questions lmk

You can buy a drop hitch receiver they come in 1 inch drop up to at least 7 inch or more drop.. a level kit is only a kit they install on the front end of truck to make front sit level with back of truck.. level kit has nothing to remove from the back of the truck .. unless your talking about a Lift kit then yes there is front an back parts to remove … not sure if you mean level kit or lift kit as theres quite a difference.. never the less no need to remove anything as if you adjust the goose neck trailer it will tow fine or as i said jus get the drop receiver to your desired towing height for the hitch under bumper … way way cheaper to do these things that try an remove anything from truck an also to replace new tires an front end alignment after ..

No need to remove the leveling kit from your truck. B and W is one of the companies that makes a really nice drop hitch for bumper pull trailers. Gooseneck shouldn’t be a problem at all. If it ever was most gooseneck hitches are adjustable.

You should just be able to get an adjustable height hitch to be able to tow. Cheaper than lowering the truck.

Merdy, they make drop hitches so you don't have to get tires or remove leveling kit. Don't ever go to a " Stealer Dealer" for anything, there's plenty of lube places that won't rip you off or shade tree mechanics that will even go to your home.

Try potato chips and corn chips eggs on your fired green tomatoes we put the chips in the food processor and chop them up. We also cook them in butter. So Good

Westley getting 3D printing is a major part of where farming is going. All those combine , tractor, seeder etc parts breaking down. No problem, the 3D printer prints up a replacement. One day I suspect you could print up a new Gertie from a big enough printer.

And if its a leveling kit on the front. There shouldnt be a problem towing. But usually leveling kits are only like 2.5-3 inches.

Had to put a lowering kit on my ford dually in order to pull a goiseneck or 5th wheel. Tag alongs i just used a drop hitch.... When you lower the suspension , most times you also have to change the shock absorbers as well...

Wesley in a town just sw of me has a Geek Club that gathers twice a month for a couple hour's to build, repair and learn new robotics, software writing, repairs and much more. Maybe they have something like that where you like. They even have a 4H group

I would check into a recomended private shop to do non-warrenty work like oil changes and minor repairs. Brand name dealer shops are usually the highest price in town.

If you are trying to haul a trailer with a lift kit on the truck buy a drop ball receiver it's easier than dropping down the truck plus you have your old truck there to but if you want to haul a trailer drop ball receiver your best bet

Is LB worried about the leveling kit making the rear squat too much ?🤷‍♂️ Air Lift has adjustable air bag kits that fix the squatting. They make a world of difference towing. Even got a remote control system to adjust the air pressure as needed. 👍 Wes seems like he's really enjoying the camp, I bet that stuff is right up his alley. We get a lot of our parts on either Amazon or at our local parts store. Something about the new trucks is you may have to get the oil changed at a dealer because they have changed things so much. Good luck

I know the dealer prices are higher but what ever you do I wouldn't be putting cheap filters on your new Truck oem or wix filters are good and fleet guard makes a good fuel filter. just a suggestion but a drop hitch would be cheaper than removing the leveling kit!

Love the video's. Get your fuel an water separator from ebay or Amazon. Way less than half the money. The cheep run just fine. Change the crank case filter every 50000 Miles. I personally run my Diesel 7500 miles between oil changes. Fuel filters every 10000. I've never had a problem. I run rotello T4 15w 40 oil. Good oil. I will say I had problems leaving my truck sit for long periods. Sitting actually killed my DEF SYSTEM. Sensor s etc. EXPENSIVE! Drive it, use it as much as possible That will help reduce problems in future. Hight can be changed by drop hitch in most cases. Any lift kits or body mounts ain't to bad to remove.

Re oil change: Not sure how dealers work there, but I have a Duramax. It's actually cheaper to have the local Chevy dealership do the oil change and service, than Jiffy Lube (or any other lube joint). Yeah, they make their money on adding filters and things you can get less expensive elsewhere, so be careful about those add-ons. But check what they'd charge to do the service. My service costs me about $10 more than if I did it myself. And for $10, someone else can get dirty. ;)
