The Land Rover Discovery 2 was the peak of LR off road vehicles. With the V8 being the preferred engine.

Fantastic episode, great to see you all back. Congratulations on the wedding Duggo. Simmo just started with paywise, I am sure he would help you out. 100% I would go with the Ineos as it has most of the tech that others call options. Think of it as a 15yr car not a car to flip n go. At the end of the day happy wife happy life

Not 4wd related but could the boys briefly talk about how Ronnie was a steelfixer and for how many years did he do it if he enjoyed it . I work construction and steel work is real hard work . Would be cool to hear about thanks

Love the listener interaction guys. Seems you are very popular on the Spotify wrapped charts too. Id love to see some guest speakers on the show in future. Maybe focus on some other 4WD related topics, like the future of 4wding, track closures ect 🤙🏾

Buy an 09 Prado 120 V6 that is in mint condition (preferably black) . Purchase an Aussie made "Bullet Supercharger Kit" $11k (designed & made in Aus for the stock 1GR-FE using a Rotrex supercharger to run on 6psi boost which increases power by plus 40% = over 180kw at the wheels with instant torque on tap from low revs & improved fuel economy ). Upgrade the suspension/shocks with a top line Dobinsion lift kit. Upgrade the wheels to ROH Assault 17 x 9" in machined billet finish with tyres of your choice. Swap in the following - Harrop-E Diff lockers front & rear. "The Cruiser Company" rear bar for a 120 (best made rear bar in Aust hands down with side protection of rear qtr panel) swap in front Bull bar of choice. LED twin binnacle headlights from Angel Eyes. Front grille for modern after market sports grille. (like the design on the new 250 Prado grille) Rear tail-lights for modern style aftermarket LED (many to choose from). Full stainless steel bigger bore exhaust with twin dumper rear tips. Custom bigger capacity alloy radiator and an external trans cooler kit from Kaon. Swap out head unit for Kenwood and swap out the steering wheel for LC300 aftermarket. Other interior fittout mods of your choice. Many external/underneath upgrade parts available from Kaon to choose from their extesive list End result is an absolute weapon that all up cost with mods would still be under $50k for a daily driver that is super comfi to drive with tight turning circle

I’ve had a 79DC fully setup and now have a grenadier. If there’s family on the horizon I’d go the ineos everyday. Even if there’s no family on the horizon, I’d go ineos everyday.

For the setup it has off the floor?

@ yeah man. No doubt you’ll want to accesorize with roof rack and fun mods but you’ll spend so much less on the grenadier. I spent almost $80k on my 79 and it still wasn’t as good as my grenadier. I did tune/turbo, seats, top notch suspension, every creature comfort available for the 70 and the grenadier still comes out on top for comfort and dollars spent. Just doesn’t have the V8. If it’s a 10 yr vehicle the grenadier will suit you better at your age and family. I have three young kids and quickly outgrew the 79. You’d spend more on the quartermaster with tray and fit out but far less on the base vehicle. Happy carsalesing. I paid far less than rrp on road for a brand new 23.5 trialmaster. Haggle and hunt and you’ll get a good deal.

I just got a 23 model grenadier trail master for 85k with safari windows and winch, there are some deals to be had. I would go the grenadier over the other 2 it’s an awesome rig!!!

@@davidkelly3779no plans of selling mine. There no way anyone should be paying full price though. I paid $110k driveway for a new trialmaster with extras

Ram will lose resale and if anything goes wrong it's going to be expensive, I'd go the grenadier or a 76 😊
