I still think the wizard set needs a buff or something even with the perfect trinket combo it still does little damage (possibly due to no damage scale) especially in a higher NG+... DEVS!

It really does. It's fun to use, I just didn't want to deal with Trinket rng or otherwise. This build would have been a lot better.

they were much better when you could block cancel! that would make this build alot better so you can still spam with the attack speed and block like all the other weapons. that made the frost staff so much worse too when they removed that!

It did, lol. Frost staff is an interesting concept but poor in execution. Having a staff for close range seems cool, but the other staffs can do it 10× better will have better effects. As well as the Frost mage trinket buff giving it only stamina on hit Is kinda mid.

How’s the broodmother chest piece vs Widow chest piece in term of poison?

Because Broodmother chest provides more defense and can apply poison and venom to enemies whether it's getting hit or hitting them. While the widow chestplate is weaker and only apples poison on parry.

yes and no as it does acid / "true" damage but downside being slow shooting and does not pair with whittle wizard and any trinkets (that i know of)

Does the mother demon venom and poison actually work for staffs? I've been told multiple times it does not.

It does. The motherdemon effects can be applied by all weapons.

@Armchairtuna717 well then. Time to revamp my wizard summoner build basically all this. But intead of the extra spicy trinket I just use the widowling and the mutations are wittle wizard, coup de grass, trapper peeper, mom genes, and the mant. With this armor set and build that's essentially 4 after damager effects and 3 creature summons. That's wild.

Probably not as she attacks WAY too quickly for the staff attacks

what difficulty is this? is wizard worth playing? new to the game playing on whoa mode. just getting to the point where I need to start planning out my sets. thanks for any info

Ng + 4, this wizard set is worth using IF you have spicy mage on a trinket. It on mid as well bc I was getting constant one shot on whoa

@Armchairtuna717 thank you for the info. We have a team of 3 on whoa. But my last question is about the parrying. Is it only hampered by the Cooldown after a shot? Or does it have reduced parrying time or something else debuffing it like barbarian?
