While it's great to see successful Black entrepreneurs like Don Peebles and Psyche Terry, it's important to note that their success stories are not the norm. Many wealthy individuals, like Peebles, have had decades to amass their wealth, which is not highlighted in the video. Additionally, it would be helpful if the video defined what it means to be "super rich" or "elite" and showcased more traditional success stories. While the Buy Black movement is gaining momentum, it's important to remember that most small businesses take home less than $100K. Overall, the video is thought-provoking, but it could benefit from a more well-rounded perspective on Black excellence.

@@warpnin3Well the reality is this ...... Most black people in the United States of America are poor, as our most black people globally. Because most of us are so poor we assume that in order to have a life with financial stability, one must have millions or billions of dollars in the bank. We are so far removed from having a stable middle class life that we can't even wrap our heads around the idea that individuals can live without immense financial struggle without being a member of the one percent. For us, it's either the hood or the Hollywood hills... We're so clueless about that which lie in between.. In the in between is where most white Americans find themselves. Because the average white American has a certain degree of financial stability in their life, they don't need content like this to function is a distraction or a coping mechanism. Most white Americans are not hedging their bets On one day becoming a multi-millionaire or billionaire. They're not preoccupying themselves with fanciful tales of building empires as businessmen. They're simply following In the footsteps of their parents and grandparents and continuing in becoming proper middle class and that wealth is compounding generation after generation, maintaining their socioeconomic standing. We need less documentaries about a black elite class and more documentaries about a black middle class. The average poor black person could work themselves up to being proper middle class before they could ever work themselves out of poverty and into wealth

As a Dallas resident I'm here to tell you that Hispanic people are the largest demographic in Dallas not huite people.
@madmann1000 Жыл бұрын
But they're not though. Dallas has white people over 3 million, the hispanic population has yet to break 3 million. It's getting close though.
@claricecriss7558 Жыл бұрын
@@madmann1000 Are you referencing the county or the city. Because the city is certainly predominantly hispanic.
@johnnydn6788 Жыл бұрын
i live in Dallas too but this is not true. Most all Hispanics/Caucasians . Whites still are majority with Hispanics over 35 percent. 15 percent of Hispanics identify as Tejanos, which means that though they are Hispanics, their families are living in America for more than 100 years. Before WW1
@claricecriss7558 Жыл бұрын
@@johnnydn6788 699,417 people are white in the city of Dallas. 545,846 people identify as Hispanic. That is 42% of the population. Demographic info from the census does not allow for Hispanic as the only option. Most if not all people.of Latin descent choose white and then check Hispanic. If you do the math you will see it is Hispanic, Black and then White. Also check the graduation results of recent classes and DISD numbers you will see the majority is Hispanic. But hey I do this for a living but I'm also a stranger on the internet so you don't have to believe me.
@johnnydn6788 Жыл бұрын
@Clarice Criss That is what I am saying. Out of 42 %, at least 15 to 20 percent are of Tejano origins, which are considered Hispanic, but they identify themselves as white hispanic. To put in perspective, 30 percent of the Carribean population identifies as indian descent as their descendents have been living their for 100 years. They follow all the indian traditions, but they dont consider themselves as Indians because they are actually non indians

So Black Excellence is having material items and being accepted into high society events 🤔 meanwhile the wealth gap continues to increase across the board over the past 30 years. I think excellence is having morals and integrity….sometimes when you have that then you miss out on opportunities because you not willing to play the game. I guess success is different for people…I’ve seen quite a few rich/successful people that are wicked and miserable. So I don’t know if status and wealth is the best barometer for excellence 🤷🏽♂️

Good for Don, I mean he has put his whole effort into the business world so if he wants some guilty pleasures more power to him. I choose to focus on our eternal qualities of the spirit because all the wealth means nothing once you go. Your relationship with Christ is all that matters!
@davidasingleton8943 Жыл бұрын
You can do both. Just be spirit led. Seek God about the matter. God called all of us to entrepreneurship. It’s a ministry. Adam, Eve, Abraham, 😮Noah… all of them were entrepreneurs. We are called to be the Lenders and to take our time back. It’s all to glorify and push forward the kingdom of God. It’s all about God. Jon Pebbles obviously does not have the Kingdom of God mindset especially when he was talking about marrying any gender you want. That’s not of God. The word of God is perfect. We can’t change that so he’s out of line.
