The golden items goes well with the 3rd legacy style (Auric is what I think it's called... the golden one), and the original style would match the best with Ares' default style. I could also argue that the backbling could work with 2nd and 3rd legacy styles of "Drakon Steel Hybrid" (original for the 2nd style, and gold for the 3rd). The main reasoning behind this is the color scheme and the fact that it's a dragon sheild going on an armoured dragon.

Sparkle Specialist is the best skin in the pass by a mile. Black Knight looks good, I just won't use it. They should consider remixing the starter pack skins like Rogue Agent in the future.
