Hello, thank you for your message. Both the BMW M 1000 XR and the BMW S 1000 XR have a permissible total weight of 450 kg. Due to the lower curb weight of the BMW M 1000 XR, it boasts a payload capacity of 227 kg, whereas the BMW S 1000 XR has a payload capacity of 223 kg.

Hi there, there is no reverse shift for the BMW M XR! But there are a lot of other features that increase the bike’s performance and comfort - also on the racetrack. The additional adjustability of the fork's spring base in conjunction with the standard Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension strut and the standard Shift Assistant Pro are just to name two. Thanks for your interest! 😊 The BMW M XR has a seat height of 850 mm as standard. With the M low sports seat, the seat height is reduced by 30 mm. You can also select the M sports seat high in the configurator, where the seat height is 870 mm.

I was about to buy a regular version, meaning S1000XR but the seat was too tiny (I am above 100 kg and my size is 1.90m) and I did not feel comfortable. Hey there! Actually, the BMW S 1000 XR has been receiving a completely new seat - we recommend you go check it out at your local dealer once the bike is available by spring this year. The M seat of the M 1000 XR is optimized compared to the S 1000 XR with an increase in usable bench length and width for more freedom of movement. In addition, the seat comes in three different heights. We highly recommend you to check out both bikes at a dealer nearby: www.bmw-motorrad.com/dealer. With the new BMW S 1000 XR we reached our goal of revising and improving the bike. The new BMW M XR we created our third M model while combining motorsport genes with long-distance riding. Some of the updates on the S 1000 XR are also part of the M XR like the Headlight Pro or the Shift Assistant Pro. But there are also some feature exclusive to the M XR due to it being an M model. We can highly recommend to have a look at both bikes at your local dealer!

@@Arispo94I recall 200hp H2sx having factory hard side cases so yes MXR should have it without high speed wobbles too. A ton of riders are constantly asking about luggage.

That's why we've included soft bags as an optional accessory to carry your belongings on long distance rides in order for you to get the best performance. This also means, that the luggage rack of the S 1000 XR does not fit onto the M XR. Please appreciate that we do not further comment on internal decisions.

Dear BMW Motorrad, Could you please confirm how close this design of the M1000XR is to the final version. I currently own the S1000XR M Package model 2022. I was 100% certain to order the M1000XR as soon as possible. BUT ... these items make it impossible for me to own the M1000XR: 1) Missing centre stand 2) Missing hand protectors for the grips 3) Missing intelligent emergency call 4) Missing auxiliary LED side lights 5) And then this horrific brake-fluid reservoir on the handle bar is DEFINITELY a deal breaker Are you sure that this is an XR?
