It does look pretty good. It does make me realize more and more that the next hurdle VR needs to overcome in single player games is making actual competent ai. It seems we are very much still in the PS1 era in that regard haha. It still is awesome to see devs out here trying to make new cool VR experiences!

Exactly! There was a moment when the AI kept relocating after I took shots and it felt awesome to work around it, but AI improvements are inevitable too!

Into The Darkness is a very good game and it will probably change the vr industry by a small bit, but it will never be able to compete with boneworks EVER. Boneworks changed the ENTIRE gaming scene in vr and i feel like no other game can do what boneworks did

@@VividDiscord well that’s something mate as an adult who plays stand-alone (I know I’m not seven it’s a shock) and left console behind I really buzzed over the fact it was affordable I’ve been up for vr since the nintys but it’s taken a long time to become a mainstream product and not a pie in the sky whimsy for pc elitists lol.

halflife alyx feels like alot of devs with alot of budget for alot of time, this feels like a few devs with small budget, a good game engine, trying to copy the success by copying every single thing of halflife. but somehow it feels like just another cashgrab in VR. it kind of lacks the depth to it that a bigger developer can make. just like bonelabs and games like it this looks like more like a demo of a game engine than an actual game. like if Unreal would throw together a game in 4 months just to showcase a bunch of things. im not a developer so i can not explain what makes this difference, im just a player who feels it. but it just lacks detail, depth, the ai all react and move in sync like they follow the same script and the gameworld looks more like an episode of futurama than an Alien movie. i think it's a shame big devs do not se the point in making games for the niche market VR is, when valve made alyx it was because some deal in the release of some headset so i think thats why they did it, will VR ever get out of it's PS1 era?

It's all about experimentation and time. The quest 3S is cheaper meaning potentially more players, sales and budgets. Gotta look up!

@@cimjohansson4878 unfortunately,it just isn’t worth it to the AAA developers to spend a lot of time and money developing a game that doesn’t stand to be very profitable.I feel like Meta is our best hope for driving VR to a bigger audience.they also seem to be willing to take more risks.I think games like Contractors:Showdown(basically Call of Duty Warzone in VR) and games from popular franchises like Batman,Metro & Alien are all steps in the right direction.I feel like Quest 3s is another step in the right direction.while standalone headsets obviously aren’t the most premium VR experience,it’s still pretty impressive and it’s affordable.it’s definitely a great entry point.hopefully the Quest 3s will sale atleast as good as Quest 2 did
