Not sure most folks are comparing those 2 brands, though I do find it interesting Borresen has chosen to name their flagship line M-Series, just like Magico. On the other hand, Magico can be called a speaker cabinet designer/manufacturer. They use 3rd party drivers and pretty standard passive crossovers. Borresen engineers and manufacturers all drivers, crossovers and cabinets. Unfortunately that, at least in Borresen’s mind, equates to 30-40% higher msrp. They both seem quite absurdly priced, though that is definitely not exclusive to those 2 brands

@@juststuff5216 these have 3d printed titanium baskets and 1/2 kilo pure silver thats cryo frozen for 72 hours. These drivers destroy all drivers with technology and workmanship. These aren’t mickey mouse ‘we make our own drivers’.

love this stuff. out of my reach unfortunately, but i still love it. so, how did they sound? Imagine the realism you would get if you paired these speakers with the BACCH inter-aural crosstalk cancelation.

Omnidirectional ribbon tweeter in zeta zero orbitals have VASTLY larger radiation area , and better dispersion. and the bass driver is much more powerful with about 10cm (not mm!) Xmax - with no crossover to mids.

Alot of talking about drivers and engineering but how those mega ultra drivers perform? Lets see full klippel spinorama with estimated inroom responce, distortion and compression measurements ? I dont care if there are 5000€ drivers if they perform like crap on finished product.

what makes a brand new passive speaker world class, well it is obviously the emporers new clothes isn't it 🙄 😂 🤣 🤣 . Well actually all the 3 way ATC SCM ASL active monitors are also classed as world class active monitors, as reguards natural and dynamic sound quality too .

I hate it when they speak so vaguely. Like this driver has only 10% of inductance as any other driver on the market. Bet this has at best Le of 0.1mH. & many other drivers have that much inductance. If they are so confident they should release figures & actual driver they are comparing too. Because there are many woofers with far more inductance. Also there's nothing special in that ribbon Tweeter? Everything he has mentioned is common/true of all ribbon tweeters. Not saying it doesn't sound good. But they should stop with marketing jargon. Atleast talk about it on your website.

He is pedalling a lot of bs in that monologue. First it has .5 kg silver, then he says sterling silver, which of course it actually is because pure silver is crazy soft. Then it’s $1100, wtf? Sterling silver, commonly known as silver 925 alloy is under $1/gram, usually around $0.70/gm. Half kg per motor would put that at $350, give of take $50. 🤦‍♂️ Many top quality driver motors do not use neodymium magnets, which are quite cheap. An alnico magnet is quite common, several rare earth magnet assemblies are found in top drivers, especially in very large woofers where Qts and high efficiency is required. I appreciate his passion for his product but he comes off as a used car salesman. I guess if you’re asking nearly $300k for a pair of 3-way 48” floorstanders, you gotta dial up the bs 🤣🤣

If you're trying to sound like a smartass, at least do some research on your own. Inductance figures were clearly provided on their site. The 05SSE for example has a magnet system inductance of 0.035mh, a league above even other ultra high end brands. Magico's inductance for example is at 0.18mh to 0.3mh. I've heard the 05SSE in person, and not only was it better than Magico, TAD, but also a million dollar Goebel system.
