I’ve seen a few comments about this channel being on life support. I couldn’t agree more! I was watching some really old unbox therapy videos the other day. So much more personality from Lew and the rest of the team, so much more fun, so much more fun with the demonstrations too. Now most videos just consist of boring sponsorships, no personality from Lew at all, rarely see any kind of interactions with anyone else in the studio. It feels like they’re just advertising products without really doing anything. It just feels all super rushed. At the end of the day they made it, they’re a huge channel, made tons of money and now they’ve made it they’ve got complacent sadly. I doubt it will change anytime soon.

Yes really sad. UT was such a great tech channel.. they were on the peak with the huge podcast studio they built and they used it i think once with Marques as a guest. After that it all collapsed.. And i think apple "cancelling" Lew hit him a bit too hard..

Bought these on Black Friday after trying them on in store briefly and being impressed with the spatial audio and clear sound. When I actually had them in my hands and I compared them to my XM4s they simply didn't have the richness in bass. When you boost the bass in EQ, especially on heavier bass/edm songs the volume is reduced significantly. Mids and highs are impressive, but for my music taste they just didn't make the cut. Much prefer my XM4s and will probably upgrade to the XM5s instead.

I had a bad experance with Bose for some stolen headsets. I manually registered my sets and they were stolen. Bose kindly unregistered them from me and reregistered them to the new person and will not give me or our local pd any info. Even after a police report and police called Bose. BTW - I bought these and though they would be better then my old Bose QC 30 but they were much the same.

I had these about a month. I love the sound absolutely brilliant! The app is not super customizable but good enough. The ANC is great! The best you can buy hence the price tag. BUT I kept really dizzy, vertigo type feeling and had to return them. If I didn't have issue, which I have never had on other headphones I would have kept them. I am now trying the Sony XM5, so far no issues a few days in. I do miss the Bose QC Ultra sound though.

I had a set of beats bought for me for xmas but they were faulted so sent them back, so i did some research and narrowed it down to trying a pair of Beats studio 3 pro or Sony 1000MX5's... While i was trying them i saw the Bose but turn away because they never gave the base i like but i thought ill try them.... O...M...G... Talk about GAME CHANGER!!!!! I thought that these were well out my price range but i had to have them. Yes they are more money than the other two but in my opinion they are worth the extra.... Beautiful head set and would 100% recommend buying them, at least try them because if you dont buy them you can kick yourself for buying the others....

Bose still makes the best noise canceling headphones. I switch to Sony because the Bose lacks features and sound quality that the Sony's have. But i am curious if these new bose headphones can outperform Sony. I sure hope so because i do prefer noise canceling on the bose.

I have these headphones and they are ok - just way overpriced. $200 would be right. Sound is quite good but not impressive. I personally like them better than the Sony headphones - but the Sony XM5 earbuds outperform both with noise cancellation - in my experience. That being said - I love the ability to also use the Bose QC headphones while gaming using the included 3.5 mm cord. Also it does have multi-point connection which works great.

I have QC35’s. QC ultra is definitely lighter, looks better and definitely has better ANC but it is not as loud overall. I still prefer my QC35’s, use them every single day.

i got a pair of QC45s and they are awesome but have one MAJOR flaw. when they are connected to two devices the audio starts stuttering randomly... this is very sad and tbh unacceptable for such a high class pair of headphones... does the ultra have the same problem?

No Aptx support on any Samsung phones!! Returned and got Sony XM5 and using Ldac now. Noise canceling on the Bose had a little hiss as well, were Sony does not. Just little info no reviewers will say.

I have had mine for a few days and the ANC is excellent, sound is pretty good and if you EQ them a lot better, but build quality at least for mine is terrible. The plastic headband creaks like a 1700s schooner, sometimes the left cup creaks, and moving your head produces soft 'thunk' sounds that are super annoying. They do not fully turn off, ( you can set how long until they do ) and the process of turning them on is weird, and takes a few seconds. Hate the touch slider for volume that is not smooth and causes big jumps and is easy to accidentally operate. I'm really torn about keeping or returning - These IMO are way overpriced for being so plasticky and having kinda shoddy build quality elsewhere... But man is the ANC nice, and I may keep them just for that.

It’s interesting how everyone is talking about Bose Ultra ANC, but no one seems to mention it's sound quality. Spoiler alert: it’s bad. I own a Sony XM5, and my brother recently bought a Bose Ultra. It was a disappointment because overall it sounds muffled and lacks punchy bass. He regrets his purchase wishing he had opted for the Sony XM5 instead. Before buying, make sure to test the devices and ideally compare with other models to avoid any surprises. Keep in mind that video reviews may not always provide the full picture.

Cons that make them terrible choice: - There's NO way to use them while charging (It's a total scandal in 2023/2024). So imagine if they run out of battery during the meeting you're doomed. - The earmuffs tilt opposite directions than in any other headphones, so when you rest them on your shoulders the cushions are pointed up but the sharp corners of the outer layer are irritating your skin
