Ok so here's my theory as to why the summoner can only bring one unit with them (I don't speak Japanese so idk the actual reason why). The summoner and Tilith are now in another world trying to find the origin of the power of summoning, but ever since setting foot in another world, the summoner's powers have diminished greatly and now needs to physically fight monsters he comes across. Since at the end of Menon all of your friends go off to do their own thing (Seria, Karl, etc.), they didn't come with you then, but maybe they'll show up later to give a helping hand. Also I'm think Reda (the new character) is an inhabitant of this new world and decided to tag along with the summoner and Tilith

***** you are forced to play it, if you dont play the 3rd arc your summoner unit will be shit and your friends will eventually delete you since they wont give a shit about your other lead since the summoner unit hype is gonna be the new thing. Im going to play it 100% for this reason, im not going to like it though but w/e I'll just suck it up and spend hours leveling up 6 different elements for the unit level up weapons and level up your summoner's level while also farming tons of Zel/Crystals to lvl everything up. GrindFest is upon us in 3 months for us global players so im going to prepare for it.

Efrain Medina Jr Yes it really is. I did it a few days ago in global when there was a bug (all buffs -1 turn). I gave up and waited until a bug fix which came a few days ago and I finally beat it. For this, you need to pray to the RNG God and hope for the best. Makes trial 8 look easy as shit.
