Will this machine sew if you accidently leave the presser foot up? I have a slightly higher model of Brother and it will not let you sew if you don't lower the foot, which is great!!

Are the feet that come with the machine OK for Quilting or do.I.have to pursue more? What's the Quilting foot called? Sorry for sounding dumb but I am new to Quilting and haven't used a machine before

You can quilt with the standard foot....but a Creative Quilt Kit would include the walking foot, 1/4" foot and free motion foot which would really enhance your quilting experience.
