Twice received a shadow buff in the most recent My Hero Ultra Rumble patch so today I’m checking him out. I gotta say after playing him for a bit he definitely has become quite a damage monster and the Twice takeover might soon be upon us. Hope you enjoy these initial matches I had with the new Twice!

It was just yesterday that I was saying that they would NERF his Alpha to deal with his Beta clone precision combined with the player 's own use making it too oppressive. This is literally the opposite of what I expected. I'm interested in trying this out and seeing how much it negates the dependence on snowballing your effectivity with copies. Maybe this was done due to a lack of prominence among players or data indicating that his Alpha is neglected by players. I imagine this affects the Quirk Skill upgrade path priorities in a big way, as pushing for mobility expansion through the Gamma is no longer as necessary to keep yourself safe. He's basically really flexible on that front now. To be frank, I'd have expected Gamma damage to be buffed more than anything else.

character idea 9: mirio togata class: rapid speed: kirishima jump height: endeavor hp:300 gp:250 melee: jap cr alpha: sinks into the ground to deliver an uppercut after a time has elapsed, imagine kirishimas alpha but without the multi hit, you basically let go of the button when you want to rise out of the ground, he cant be hit but there is a ripple effect to show where he is so it isn't completely broken. Which is why I think he should have the fastest wall climb after lida, just sink into the ground go inside a building and pop out at the top ammo: 2 at level 1 ,3 at level 4 and 4 at lvl 9 damage: 85 at lvl one at 100 at lvl 9 beta: partial permeation, all of his body (except his feet) become permeable, he is fully invulnerable but can't hit anyone, ammo: lasts around 5 seconds at level 1 and around 10 seconds at 9 gamma: falls into the ground to then shoot himself back up in the chosen direction, no hit box ammo: 2 all levels special action: pickup emotes: power! thing with crossed arms and 2 thumbs up

I do like the buff twice got as his dmg was low so twice was not great at 1v1s. Twice is a fun character but his low dmg meant you lost more with him. The new buffs definitely addressed that however i do think his alpha may have been buffed too much i think it should start at 25dmg per knife but scale to 35 rather than 38. I do think twice since its a burst so most times u will not hit every knife at mist u hit 2 u do wanna get atleast 60 to 70 dmg as most characters that have range can do this. All i think rn is his gamma hitbox needs to be larger I mean its bad it barely hits it literally clips through ppl doing 0 dmg.

Gonna be honest with you, idk if this buff is gonna stick. The whole point was that you could basically double his damage with the clone, so giving him high damage wasn't necessary. Plus you have the special action clones. It'll probably be fine, but it seems weird. Edit: Also Twice's knives don't cause knockdown, so you can't hope I-frames will give a respite after getting comboed for 300 dmg.

Nah that was my entire thought process on twice too tbh. Him as a solo character was weaker then the others but his gimmick, overwhelming enemies with his clones made up for it with strength in numbers. The Dabi shadow nerf was reverted so this change being reverted too isn’t impossible. We’ll see tho

whoever complained about Twice damage before, had literally never seen a good Twice, like holy shit. Twice was already quite stupid due to his SA and crazy combo potential, but he was kinda lacking good mobility. Buffing his damage further is such a stupid idea.
