Eurovans are great for camping. Some had the Westfalia package with a pop-up roof, stove, sink, etc. These were the "van-life" before van life became a thing. The engine in that one is a 2.8L 6-cylinder, which started later in the Eurovans life. It greatly improved what little performance they had!

Agree with you 100% on the Cadillac door handles Randy. Technology for technologies sake. As a Design Engineering Director, we recognize it as a Marketing game of "one-ups-manship". Unfortunately, the robust engineering, consumer acceptance, cost containment, and durability are often overlooked in an effort to sell a more "feature-rich" or "high profile" product than the competition. Not only in cars but other consumer durable goods. Advances in technology are important but at what cost Cadillac? GM's revolving door of leadership continues to fail to learn from its past. Many other companies fail customers for different reasons, but often because of their own egos.

When i push the button in and quickly pull and not let go of the button the door will open a bit but lock in the middle area and i have to depress and press again to get it to release so i can open the door. The dealer said that i was opening the door "too fast" even though I'm opening it perfectly normal and that i need to press the button and wait a second before pulling the handle. What a damn joke.

I wish my 2004 Escalade had less electronics on it . At 60,000 miles the AC blend doors went out and it's 1500.00 just for those little doors with servo motors. The electronic module under the seat goes out and sends the seat into the steering wheel. The auto leveling suspension goes out and it's 2000.00. The fix for that is to install regular shocks that work well enough. Just give me 1970s tech. Old school AC that I control with levers on the control panel. PS, PB are needed.
