Using the TM to replace my driver. I can't hit my driver and usually tee off with my 3 wood. I'm an 18 handicap. Thanks for the video

Was able to purchase the Callaway 11.5 mini driver 3 weeks ago. I am 76 years old but I can still hit my regular driver 250. I was looking for more accuracy since the course I play has narrow fairways. After 3 weeks I have replaced my regular driver with the mini. My drives have been going 240-250 and way more accurate. I have found that the mini rolls out better than my full size driver. Maybe because when I started playing golf 63 years ago the persimmon driver looked more like the mini. The shorter shaft just makes it easier to hit the middle of the face. I coach a H.S. Golf team in NJ and I am looking forward to playing with my team next season.

I’m getting an 11.5 because I hit my 3 wood further and straighter than my driver. I’m not going to be hitting off the deck

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's eyes follow the club a bit in the backswing. Weird habit I picked up when working on my takeaway a lot. It definitely helps me feel where my arms are in the backswing to stay more connected. Slowly trying to do it less. Looking forward to checking you guys out next time I'm in the area.

Try the Callaway 11.5 at 44.5" long and heavy weight forward. Try it in the -1 D setting. It might replace your driver.

I game one as my home club has multiple holes where there’s water or a dog leg is at 240 ish…can’t carry the water or hit it high enough to carry the trees on the dog leg…so for me it’s just an exclusive tee club for my home course. I wouldn’t ever try to hit either of these from the ground though…not good enough of a ball striker or fast enough to get it up to make it work off the deck. Enjoyed the vid fellas. Enough to sub. 👍🏻👍🏻

Great review, was wondering when y'all would release your next vid. For most amateurs the 3w is the hardest club to hit. I can see the appeal of a mini driver for those that struggle at times with driver and struggle with a 3w, it gives the appearance of a driver but with shorter shaft control off the tee and possible adds confidence to the golfer. That and I can see how it can fill a hole between driver and 5w that most will have. I personally can't hit 3w no matter what I do, but just added a Callaway Paradym HL 3w (technically more like a 4w) and drive that better than any 3w I've ever hit and carry the same distance when I have flushed the 3w.

Cool vlog and review. I'd take the Callaway mini driver for sure. I like the look at it and looks a lot nicer at address. Just one thing boys it that both of two boys a little bit of a swing lessons because both of you are all over the place and personally it was not really a professional review. I do give you thumbs up on trying to review both mini drivers but there is still needed a lot of work on your swings boys. Keep up the work.

Why would you test this off the deck? The people like me who can’t hit a driver would not hit off the deck. That is why I use my 7 wood and 9 wood. I hit the ai smoke mini further and more consistent than my stealth hd. But only off the tee. I will watch the rest of the video. Hope you hit it off a tee. Thanks

Well for starters it can be a 3 wood replacement so that’s why they did it and also they don’t plan all their videos based off of bad golfers like yourself. If you can’t hit it than that sucks but many people can

The more I consider it the mini driver benefit is either a backup tee club or as a main driver for low swing speed / spin players. For new players who don’t have backspin to stabilize the flight you can see 5 woods or 7 woods going as far their driver and then being able to launch those more consistently. I would be curious to see how a mini driver aimed at 16 degrees with full customization would sell

great review boys I am trying to decide with a 3 wood or the mini driver i think i am leaning to the 3 wood cut down 1/2 inch would be more useful for me i think cheers from Vulcan Canada

My driver slices 90° so you should let a 30 handicapper like myself test this out

Trevor was definitely swinging the club like he was hitting it off a tee. He needs to hit down on it. Not sure what his AOA was, but I can’t imagine it was negative

From a guy who does not use a driver… the TM mini driver is my driver and it’s 13.5 degree. I can hit all clubs including woods pretty good. Driver is a never ending nightmare, yeah I can smash a driver to cream city but I can also smash a driver into Karen’s back yard and 1,000ft to the right. I’m a 14ish handicap and ever since I took driver out of the bag and started using the clutch mini driver my handicap went from over 20 down to 14. Even if I hit a bad drive it’s still in play with the mini and or not far from left to right. Yeah I give up an extra 15ish yards a driver would get me but do I need it, nope! Not to mention I have 100% confidence going after a drive with the mini. The mini for me goes about 250+ on a chill drive, can I get up to 275? Yup, so I need to? No. Most holes are under 400 yards and I have a full 9 iorn into a green. Just my 2cents

A bit too long of a video but it was refreshing to see average golfers hacking it with a very niche product. Just shows you that the AI Mini is not really intended of the deck but more of the tee. This channel lacks thoughtful analysis using the product and software off the tee and deck. Displaying 4 dispersion patterns teeing off an actual hole that demands you to hit the fairway regardless of the distance.

It’s called a mini-driver so why would you try to compare this with a 3 wood???
@jerrysilverstein40555 ай бұрын
The mini driver is not a 3 wood, it for people who can't control a driver, it could be use as a 3 wood. They came out a strong 3 wood, most people couldn't get in the air. The better golfer would not use a mini as a 3 wood, they adjust their 3 wood down.

Sorry but this isn’t true, as a low handicapper with relatively high swing speed, I seldom have to hit a 3 wood into a green but hitting a tee shot 270 and no further would save me from a lot of danger at many courses, 3 woods are often either spinny or unforgiving and a Minidriver would fill a very real void, it’s something a number of sub 3 handicaps at my club are using

You really need to test 11.5 head dialed down to 10.5 vs driver. And 13.5 head dialed up to 14.5 vs 3 wood.. Otherwise these comparisons are just useless. This is just one in the sea of useless mini driver comparisons..
