I have a Rojo and its very nice. Don't get the Brembo brakes you lose the space saver tyre and get a blow up kit. This video accurately portrays the feeling I get every time I drive my car. Just one big smile.

Brembo brakes aren't what they used to be now days, Better to just upgrade the OME pads + If you get a front blowout with Brembo's you need to fart arse around jacking up to take the rear wheel off put the space saver on the rear then jack up the front with the blowout and replace with the removed rear wheel 😧All good fun by the roadside in the 🌚& pouring of 🌧

Picked up a Formentor VZx 6 months ago, still loving it. Two baby seats in the back without compromising on solo driving. With its stance, some lowering springs, and a front lip it would easily look like a station wagon rather than an SUV.

Interesting review of the Cupra SUV. I’m like you, never really been interested in SUVs but this one is very quick and looks quite nice and looks fun to drive. Would definitely go for the Brembo brake upgrade. Thanks for the review.

I'm Australian but living in Munich, Germany. I had the hybrid model on lease for two years and i wasn't a fan of the electric battery life nor the charging issues inner city. The infotainment system as well was not the most responsive at times, but overall a reliable car and handled well around corners and on the autobahn. I just now bought the VZ3 (310ps) tribe edition (cliff grey) with an akrapovic exhaust with a sunroof. can't wait! Will be the first formentor on the market with the exhaust system that you see on the Golf R and Ateca.

My Formentor VZ310 will be out of lease in 8 months. It's already 3 years old. I ordered a 2nd one this week also VZ310 with the Pilot Sport 4, Akrapovic and the Carbon Super Sport Seats as well as Carbon Copper Mirrors, Beats Audio etc. . The only thing I didn't order was the Sunroof and Brembos (even though they have a new revision). The Brembos were terrible in the beginning, that's why the VZ5 has Akebono Brakes instead of the Brembos. The Tribe Edition looks great.

In overseas markets, Cupra actually sells the Formentor VZ5 (sadly left-hand drive only), which has the 5-cylinder engine sourced from the Audi TT RS, RS3, and RS Q3. Pretty punchy engine!

I've had my VZ2 310 since December, it's a fantastic all round car, shattering performance, mine has a panoramic roof, space saver spare wheel and Beats stereo too. The infotainment system is so annoying, I can cope with it being a little slow but it can have a mind of it's own as it's full of bugs, changes settings, shows up faults that aren't, even slammed the brakes on once at 20 mph for no apparent reason, audio can play up, makes random phone calls, yes I've experienced all these and more as have many others, thankfully software updates cure most of the problems, never a dull day driving a Formentor, I love it but the 310 is quite expensive to buy and run compared to the 1.5 litre version.

You suggest that Cupra should do better in its next version yet you’re unaware of the Cupra VZ5. That is the 2.5l Audi engine that gets this car to 100 KPH in 4.2 seconds. So the car you’re asking for is already here albeit in LHD only. Do homework. I’m in the base model V AWD and it goes extremely well. I’ve had range exceed 1000 km highway so it would likely take Brisbane to Sydney on one tank!

Nice video. I recently sold my RS3 8Y sedan because it is too fast and the engine note is too quiet. I was considering an M2 but I put deposit to one of these. While the price is half of M2 but it offers great enjoyment as well. In my opinion, the best power to weight ratio for the public road is 150Kw/ton.
