Both nice units James! My diamond C is the same as your white one, but with leaf springs.. yours is torsion axle. 2 differences worth noting between the 2 trailers that are huge in my opinion.. 8k and larger axles have 17.5 wheels.. the smaller trailer has standard 16s. 17.5 wheels allow you to essentially put semi tires, much higher ply and rated tires.. they last way longer and stand up better to weight. Your new trailer should have the high speed hydraulic pump that diamond c went to in 2023.. it should have a faster dump cycle. Congrats on the second trailer! That tarp system is awesome too! Confused what you saying about 10k trailer and CDL. 26k+ combined truck+trailer based on VIN sticker you need CDL unless you're in CA or some other states they got different rules. It also only matters if you're doing to make money...personal use doesn't matter and you can tow w/e (IE, old timers got huge RVs and duties all the time). DOT wont be pulling you over when they see a tandem axle dump trailer with a single rear while truck...they might if it's a gooseneck and bigger/beefer trailer. Gooseneck trailer + dually truck + earning money with it you def need the CDL. Plenty of people with HD trucks towing around 14k dump trailers (most common kind of a trailer probably).

Here in cali they will definitely pull you over for anything over 10k on a trailer. Also when you’re running a big Rv you need a non commercial CDL. This is straight from the guy that gave me my ticket.
