Another case of mana cheating leading to extremely fair turns. Thaddius was just a mistake. That being said, this looks insanely difficult to pilot. Impressive APM and decision-making.

It's actually not as hard to play if you have Lifebinders Gift to swap your mana costs.

I think this deck is fine. It's similar to Sif Mage in its gameplan, but MUCH easier to disrupt and less consistent as a way to get lethal. Patchwork straight up makes this deck unplayable, and that's not even mentioning Theotar and Dirty Rat. It's also more vulnerable to agro. As a tradeoff, it sometimes comes online a few turns earlier, but only if you drew A LOT to get your pieces, and ramped in the process. I think we sometimes have the instinctual response to think powerful combo = bad for the game, but if there's ways to play around it, it's fine.

@@wanderer5438 I mean yeah, this deck isn't a meta-destroyer, but point being that Thaddius is a problematic and exploitable card. If you can do something this dumb with it, it's just waiting for something extremely consistent, fast, and degenerate to crop up.

I don't know who created this deck but Dane was the first 1 I saw using it now everybody has made a video about it. Maybe it's time to recraft Thaddius. It might not be good but it looks fun. If you run the 2 mana discount spells by 1 it enables you to use all the odd spells as well btw. Dane got a T4 lethal with it. Madness in standard. Should be using the fire Malfurion skin with it as well tbh.

I guess an interaction to look out for when spamming fire spells is to play Jam Session to damage your board for 1 before playing either of the Warrior cards that care about how many injured minions you have.

The test of the cards doesn't get visually updated on the discover (the base text says "odd-cost") but the effect of thaddius correctly continues to change each turn wherever he is.

IDK how I feel about this deck. On the one hand, it is hard to play, and the people I've ran into in ranked weren't fast enough when I had armour. On the other hand, it is absolute cancer when it wins. There just isn't counterplay.

This deck has around a 50% win rate. It's average at best and a lot of fun to pilot. Sure it sucks to be on the receiving end of it when it high rolls but you could say that about a lot of decks. I'd take getting rekt by this every now and then over the endless wave of paladins that I encounter. At least there is some counter play to this with disruption.
