I wish you had one of those devices to measure the REAL temperature/ heat from the iron. I'm wondering if it's 'faster' or 'one stroke styling' because the REAL temperature is higher than the other ghd irons 🤷🏻‍♀️... just wondering, because the characteristics mentioned in the website sound just like 'big words', some of the features depend on sooooo many variants 🤔 like "3x breakage protection" and "platinum offered 2x times only", or "results that last for 24 hours", "2x less frizz", I guess that would depend on the products you apply or the weather 🤷🏻‍♀️... I don't know, I own the GHD 2 inch flat iron and I looooove it but I'm just kind of tired of those 'upgrades' that sometimes don't even make sense and they just want to sell an overpriced item 😬 but, I really, really, appreciate the time you put into these videos, and I love your IG as well 👍👍👍

the temp definitely won't be any hotter than the other ghd stylers as the plate heaters will be the same and ghd is all about 185C when styling dry hair - that's their key USP I guess. When they bring out a new styler effectively it is a new more intelligent chip, a bit like an iPhone really which allows the device to react faster and be more effective. So a more intelligent, pricier microchip as well as enhanced plates and sensors etc. thank you - I'm glad you enjoy the vids! 😊💞

Yes, chronos is better than plat+ (but not drastically tbh! Some people actually can’t see much difference) so I’d say if you have really long or thick hair then go for chronos, it will be worth it 😊

Thank you! I’ve always thought ghd products are worth the price, quality products which last. If your mum is someone who loves to style and look after her hair then I think chronos would be a fab present for her to receive! 🫶🏼

Hey my hairdresser wants me to ditch the straightners but I can't my hair is way too frizzy currently have the platinum plus does the chronos do less damage to your hair?

I'm not a stylist, just a regular customer, so, in my opinion I think there's no difference between these 2 because if the damage is done by the heat, well, they both have the same temperature so, I don't think it will damage or benefit your hair, I guess it depends on how often you use it or what other hair products you use 🤷🏻‍♀️

hey 🙂 if your hair is damaged then I do advise people to lay off their straighteners for a while and just try and blow dry as smooth as you can. Or even if you could blowdry as smooth and sleek as you can first and then you are doing less work with your straighteners. The key when straightening really is to only go over each section once, whereas a lot of people will do multiple passes over and over on the same sections (especially the top layers and around the front) slow, controlled passes, chasing the comb is best 👌I don't think technically you could say that the chronos is any 'less damaging' than the platinum+ as they are the same heat - 185C hope this helps! x

I got this recently and noticed that it produces quite a lot of steam, and when the steam passes the barrel it leaves a moist residue on the barrel, is this normal? This definitely didn’t happen with my old Philips one..

If a lot of steam is coming off your hair then there is a lot of moisture in your hair, not necessarily a bad thing as it’s good to have moisturised hair but just make sure that this isn’t excess water (like the hair is still slightly damp or maybe dampened with products!)

GHD you missed out on upgrading the platinum+ GHD could have made the barrel simmer and added lower heat temperature settings for super fine. All these video saying it’s better then platinum + I don’t believe it and new styler is £298 utter madness

The platinum+ is an amazzzing styler it was my favourite and now chronos does just top that! The proof is in the pudding, you won’t know it’s better until you try it I guess! x
