I wonder if this was a good ending for What If? The Watchers ARE supposed to remain neutral, they aren't supposed to interfere unless something threatens to go beyond the scope of a single universe (like Infinity Ultron did). Clearly this Uatu was becoming a little too comfortable interfering, and no doubt his new Watchers will feel compelled to save people as well. But that's not balanced. Good just got a huge power shift over evil in the multiverse. But this is also bad because too much interference can stifle growth, and premature interference can prevent characters from having time to correct their own mistakes, and if a Watcher goes rogue, the multiverse is subject to their brand of justice and judgement. I could accept Uatu meddling from time to time, but would need to be very rare and with deliberate purpose, these new Watchers are quite dangerous. Also, total counterpoint to my own argument, but can you imagine if that reformed Infinity Ultron had taken the oath? Adding Watcher powers to his infinity stones? I'd have liked to have seen that.

The name reveal for Uatu is actually a big deal. The rights to Uatu were owned by Fox when “What If…?” started, which is why he only went by The Watcher originally.

ngl, this was an extremely lackluster finale to the series. they could have gone all out with the what if formula and shown some fun cameos/combinations of characters, but instead, they introduced random watcher villains that we’ve had zero time with, so we aren’t at all invested in their story. and 2 of the 4 heroes (not counting uatu) weren’t even introduced until the last two episodes of the entire series. it just all feels so haphazard and poorly planned.

I just loved seeing Strom absolutely kick ass in this episode! It was so cool to see her interact with other characters from the Marvel Mythos and just be absolutely badass. Plus, I think that was a little tease at the end for the show, possibly returning in a more complete format, possibly after Secret Wars. 👀 I guess time will tell, but I thought this was a really fun and explosive final episode. 9/10!

The only main thing I don't like about the What If finale is that they don't clearly establish why the Watchers do what they do. If it is to preserve the natural order and then the Eminence tries to erase every version of Captain Carter from the multiverse, wouldn't that destroy the multiverse? Because the multiverse in the MCU is all branched from the sacred timeline which has Peggy Carter in it

If they bring Ghost Rider into the larger canon of the MCU at some point I want it to be Gabriel Luna's Ghost Rider from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D series. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was a weird situation type of Marvel series that technically we weren't meant to consider as MCU "canon", yet cenetered heavily around Clark Gregg's Phil Coulsen whom is MCU canon, after the events of his "death" in Avengers which was also MCU canon, and even had some cameos of Sam Jackson's Nick Fury which is also a MCU-canon character. And the show even reacts-to and references events that happened in the MCU canon such as Loki's attack on NY and Ultron for example, and the blip following Thanos' snap. It felt like Marvel couldn't make up their mind to canonize it or not canonize it, felt like they were doing both lol. Im glad though they eventually canonized Charlie Cox's Daredevil from the Netflix series, when he appeared in Spider-Man Far From Home as his character I was like yep, that show and all the characters in said show and events which unfolded in the show are MCU canon now moving forward. 🤣 (Thank goodness too because Cox's Daredevil is super great as is D'Onofrio's "Kingpin", they both play those respective roles as perfectly as R.D.J. plays Ironman, it's just meant-to-be, especially D'Ononfrio's Kingpin like what? Lol. And canonizing that show also canonizes Jon Bernthal's version of "The Punisher" character, which nobody would disagree is the best The Punisher.) They canonized the Dardevil series which was a good move but haven't canonized the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D series which literally premiered MCU-canon characters played by their MCU-canon actors reacting-to and refererncing in the show events which happened in the MCU-canon lol.

I am also predicting “What if…” S:3 will take place after X-men ‘97 due to the appearance of the watcher. If this is not the case, I will move it to its correct space in the timeline. (Edit: moved “what if” to new slot due to the appearance of the eternals, Agatha harkness, and characters that have made appearances, up to the release of season 3) @-stand-alone sagas/episodes that are seperate, but still contribute to the continuity of the sacred timeline. %-included for the hell of it {You don’t have to watch the fox movies, but it kinda adds to the WADP and SMNWH cameos. I also included Cloak and dagger under this category because it mentions Luke Cage and Misty. Leigion, the runaways and the new mutants, accompany the fox X-men saga (They have nothing to do with the Deadpool movies or mentioned anywhere alse on the MCU timeline). The Ghost rider movies also contribute to the origin of Reyes’ Ghostrider in AOS S:4. Runaways was added because of the Dr. Strange references and mentions the Loa from cloak and dagger. Madame web, Kraven, and Morbius can all suck a fat one. You don’t have to watch them but they add to a dark time in the multiverse saga}. A-Agents of shield episodes that precede and/or proceed main events in the main MCU timeline. DS-Defenders saga episodes that precede and/or proceed main events in the main MCU timeline. $-Sonyverse, aka trash (Venom and the spiderverse flicks are cool, but the rest suck). I don't see the Exiles getting their powers taken away. They won. That means Uatu's vision going forward is the one. The Exiles took the Oath, they're Watchers now, whatever form that takes going forward. Probably meaning the Watchers will no longer just watch, but be allowed to intervene. There will probably be some sort of organization set up to make those decisions, ala, the Green Lantern Corps and their own big-headed 'watchers', the Guardians.

Season 1 of What If? is the Best IMO Marvel seemed to put out Season 3 like they hope people will forget about it = making Season 3 the weakest IMO All those variables of characters flashed at the very end of the series' finale serves to me as proof the creators had bigger concepts in mind for What If? It's sad those stories may never be told b/c, even if they reboot this series, not enough people are gonna watch b/c this last season was more flash than substance 😞

What If? Has given us some great heroes. Captain Carter Kahori and now Storm Goddess of Thunder and Birdie Duck. Fantastic characters. I absolutely love Birdie. She's so awesome

Obviously Ghost Rider will come in clutch. The sleeper hit of the movie. He is the final judgement of sins. No matter how powerful the foe is, Ghostrider's ultimate move is omni level. It can judge even cosmic level beings. If anyone can terminate Doctor Doom and make it permanent, it's Ghostrider, Death, or Tribunal. Yes Loki and Deadpool might save the MCU down the road, but final judgement is Death, Tribunal, or Ghostrider. These characters all have one shot kill moves. These beings can make phase 6 the best phase of the MCU by far, if they're fashioned correctly.
