Honestly, I think this build only helps against tanky enemies, since against the squishier enemies, the execute damage aids minimally. Hence it is better to go glowing wand (for me tbh). I also prefer to build genius wand before sky piercer since genius wand is a better early game item.

Sky piercer is really cheap, it costs only 1500 so I can get it at lvl 5 or 6 and just go aggressive if it's my first item. 👺

All of my friends laughing at me cause I use agility for the first talent, instead of adaptive penetration. Since my guy here use agility as well, I will tell you why agility fits better for gusion. (From my opinion) The reason why it fits so well because gusion already have penetration (from the assassin's emblem and also from the arcane boots). However, gusion is a hero that really dependent on his skills and his farming ability is quite slow. So I myself pick agility so that I can do a rotation faster, and plus I can do retri to run away after doing my combo (cause we all know that if Gusion already did the combo he need to dip as soon as possible to escape) and also we can chase the running enemy. Again, it's just my opinion.

No offense, I prefer to use the extra speed in jungle tier 2 talent, it helps rotate and most fights take place in the jungle. It is also better than the other tier 2 options imo. (I prefer to not use the jungle one since I’m a more team reliant player). I also think the penetration is a good option but it’s just my opinion. 10/10 expanation from you tho.😊
