When I started playing PokeRogue after watching *several* videos about it, I did find myself thinking "Why the Hell did none of those vids mention the team boss fights on floor 115 & 165!? I was completely unprepared!" - Should have realised they were added in a later update lol

I was lucky to have a Greedent with Bite, Seed Bomb, Body Slam and the ability Cheek Pouch to face Giovanni. I don't think I'd have gone through half his team otherwise.

It is truly insane how if you can get a calm mind mon in front of a special attacker you can set yourself up to sweep any encounter.

That's a fact, I had a faceoff with Alakazam before and I calm mind, recover and then sweeped the whole team with moonblast

I just thought I should mention but I just beat classic mode with manaphy, archaludon, boltund, latios, gmax machamp and stoutland. Boltund and stoutland were just intimidate spammers, I gave my machamp no guard dynamic punch, cross chop,knock off and swords dance to just deal a shitload of damage, manaphy is arguably the most underrated mon in pokerogue, if you can get one that is... I got one out of an egg and it had bouncy bubble which is just giga drain as a water move, and it had tail glow whirlpool and charm to lower attack, latios is just really good tbh, archaludon had plus attack minus special attack and so I ran with physical. I think what made this team even cooler is that usually against Ivy I would struggle a lot, but this time I just used charm 3 times and then used tail glow and swept every rival fight. I love this game ngl

Ngl with the evil team update, I've swept thru Cyrus and the Flare boss easily, and the Flare boss was during my first attempt on the Kanto only challenge (i love u Dragonite)

My boss battle strategy in classic is to put down stealth rocks and poison spikes then have something like dragonite with dragon tail to force swaps and let it work them down a chunk at a time. If that runs out, I can swap to my sweepers.

Yep, psychic type challenge, it was pretty easy with bitter blade gallade, aeroblast and lumina crash xatu and shiny psyshield wyrdeer. Those were my starters, I was pretty limited with others, I only found a grumpig, alakazam, hypno and that flying/psychic one eye mon. It was surprisingly easy.

My best run so far got ended technically by villain Boss. yes I beat the encounter, but I was so out of money that I could only get back 2 pokemon and half heal 3rd. 170 gym leader than crushed me. Ghetsis with Boss Parental bond Hydreigon was brutal, and that Kyurem did not help either.

I request you try avalugg. It gets metal burst as an egg move, along with bodypress. It being the biggest physical wall in the game while also taking a ton of damage from special moves allows both metal burst and bodypress to get huge value especially in the harder fights like emax-etern. Sturdy isnt a must (as it is its HA) but if you have it, use it.
