Nathaniel Dwayne Hale (August 19, 1969 - March 15, 2011), known professionally as Nate Dogg, was an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. He gained recognition for providing guest vocals for a multitude of hit rap songs between 1992 and 2007, earning the nickname "King of Hooks".
Hale began his career in the early 1990s as a member of 213, a trio formed in 1990 with his cousin Snoop Dogg and friend Warren G. In 1994, he was featured on the latter's hit single "Regulate", which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and served as a breakout success for both artists. Nate Dogg would soon become a fixture in the West Coast hip hop genre, regularly working with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit in the 1990s; his deep vocals became sought after for hooks, and he would expand to work with a larger variety of artists in the 2000s, such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Fabolous, Mos Def and Ludacris. As a featured artist, Nate charted 16 times on the Billboard Hot 100, and in 2003 reached number one via 50 Cent's "21 Questions". Nate Dogg also was notably featured on Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode" and Eminem's "'Till I Collapse". In addition to his guest work, Nate Dogg released three studio albums, as well as a string of moderately successful singles of his own in the 1990s.
On December 19, 2007, Hale suffered a stroke. After a week in Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, he entered a rehabilitation facility. Although his body's left side was weakened, neither his cognition nor voice were affected and a full recovery was expected.
Hale suffered another stroke on September 12, 2008. On March 15, 2011, Hale died at age 41 in Long Beach, California, of complications of multiple strokes, or by congestive heart failure. He was interred in Long Beach at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Snoop Dogg is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, media personality, entrepreneur, and actor. With his two cousins, Nate Dogg and Lil' ½ Dead, and friend Warren G, he recorded homemade tapes; the four called their group 213 after the area code of their native Long Beach at that time. They recorded early demos at World Famous VIP Records in Long Beach.
His music career began in 1992 when he was discovered by Dr. Dre and featured on Dre's solo debut, "Deep Cover", and then on Dre's solo debut album, The Chronic. He has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.
Snoop's debut album, Doggystyle, produced by Dr. Dre, was released in 1993 by Death Row Records. Bolstered by excitement driven by Snoop's featuring on The Chronic, the album debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Selling almost a million copies in the first week of its release, Doggystyle became certified quadruple platinum in 1994 and spawned several hit singles, including "What's My Name?" and "Gin & Juice". In 1994 Snoop released a soundtrack on Death Row Records for the short film Murder Was the Case, starring himself. His second album, Tha Doggfather (1996), also debuted at number one on both charts, with "Snoop's Upside Ya Head" as the lead single. The album was certified double platinum in 1997.
After leaving Death Row Records, Snoop signed with No Limit Records, where he recorded his next three albums, Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told (1998), No Limit Top Dogg (1999), and Tha Last Meal (2000). Snoop then signed with Priority/Capitol/EMI Records in 2002, where he released Paid tha Cost to Be da Boss. He then signed with Geffen Records in 2004 for his next three albums, R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, and Ego Trippin'. Malice 'n Wonderland (2009), and Doggumentary (2011) were released on Priority. Snoop Dogg has starred in motion pictures and hosted several television shows. He also coaches a youth football league and high school football team.
Snoop has 17 Grammy nominations without a win. In March 2016, the night before WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas, he was inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, having made several appearances for the company, including as Master of Ceremonies during a match at WrestleMania XXIV. On November 19, 2018, Snoop Dogg was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

What I loved about Nate Dogg, is that the lyrics were gangsta but his voice was Church. You can hear it in the delivery, and the soulful spirit overall. His songs/hooks comprised my discovery of hip hop/rap, and later were the soundtrack to some of the best moments of my young life. 🥺 Thank You for your voice Nate, rest in Heavenly peace. ❤️

Fantastic conversation with Mr. Anderson of World Famous VIP Records. How amazing is it that he has continued his store & is creating a museum. He has made & witnessed not only musical history, but cultural history as well. Those photos are priceless! LA riots, the Jacksons, & of course he knows Rick James! This is the good that can come from supporting other channels & promoting businesses. It was so great to see Jeff from 909 Adventures in this video. I grew up on vinyl records and it will always be my number one choice. I feel sorry for musical artists today, they are up against a lot just trying to make a buck. I just love all kinds of music, they all have their place in my heart and I wish the best for all of those struggling and would say just keep pressing on. Their day will come. This was freaking awesome Scott, i know i say it all the time on your videos, but genuinely enjoyed this video right from start to finish, i cant fault it, I loved the interview you did with the guy at the start, not only was it a good interview but i loved all the questions you asked him, they were spot on and wow had no idea that was the same building where snoop was rapping on the roof top, i remember watching that music vid when first released and only seen the location now thanks to you, there were so many different things about Nates death i had no idea what to believe, this is why i loved this video because you always give the rl news with true research, I had no idea Nates son was doing well too until you mentioned it there at the end, this video gets a 10 out of 10 from me, everything you covered in hip hop locations and interviews have been amazing, im hoping you can do more hip hop locations like this, i truely enjoy them. I love what it says on Nates Grave at the end "It aint a hit, till Nate Dogg spit", i think the grave designers did an amazing job on that, Awesome video as always, real sorry i had to put a long comment, it was that good i had so much to say about it, hope you forgive me scott lol

@@SCOTTONTAPE thanks Scott. I'm glad you did too as its a well deserved comment. You made a huge effort in this video. As I said before I really hope you can do more hip hop stuff too even though I don't mind anything from you 😁
