Nice video mate…in my opinion Indonesian made… cheap and inferior quality MIJ… justifiable price and higher quality USA made… overpriced! (For these price they shouldnt be having a KOREAN made 1500 floyds! Period)

I think the people who complain about nickel frets not lasting as long as stainless are the same guys who only keep a guitar for a year or wouldn’t play enough to wear out a set of frets anyway. 😂

My first Jackson soloist is 38 years old, my 2nd is 36 years old and my 3rd is 34 years old. All original frets and replaced the pick-ups only on the 36 year old Ontario soloist because the preamp crapped out in 2003 and Jackson quit making replacements. Other than the normal chips and dings they are great. My newer Jacksons except my 7 strings get a bit dusty hanging on the wall.😂

most of the time yes, but if you use steel strings those frets wear out quicker than you might think

I just got the USA blue one today, oh my god I’ve been a schecter and esp fan for like a decade and now I’m really liking Jackson now that their American series don’t cost an arm and a leg. I have an 8 and a 7 I don’t play and I’m gonna trade them for the Japanese Jackson that has that frozen blue color. If you have the money, the made in America one is absolutely perfect build quality

Good information, nice presentation! The playing comfort of the SL3 neck is considerable. If it feels smooth and responsive, that will inspire more play.

I’ve been playing for 38 years. I have owned Jackson guitars for the last 30. Starting with a Jackson performer, then went to a JS32 7 string. Then I bought an x series soloist. Then I bought a KE-2, and last month I bought a DK1. Nothing beats a real Floyd. The bindings on the USA models are perfect. And come standard with my favorite pickups already installed. The Japanese, and Malaysian models play and sound ok, But the USA models play and sound and sustain much better. For the amount of money that these cost, I would look for a USA model, pay a little more, and get the real deal.

@@Guitarman01 if you're a new player and have a lot of money, sure. But if you've been playing a while, get a sl2 or sl1. They will appreciate in value, and they have superior equipment. If it's not a real Floyd, it sucks. Plus I'm hearing the there is no neck binding o. The sl3.

@dethaxstudios My MIJ SL3 has a Germany stamped OFR and feels NO different from any modern USA Jacksons, except for the ones it blew away. ...But both of my Jacksons plus my '87 Charvel were pre-Fender MIJ Jacksons. Only way I'd pay that retarded price for USA made is it were a used pre-2003. Oh, and Neck binding is for puddins.

Great video, thanks. I happily played an Indonesian soloist for two years. It needed more setup, for sure. Then, a few months ago, I tried to be the USA soloist. I tried three of them for several hours, brought one home, and sold my Indonesian soloist. The USA and Indonesian soloists sound and play light years apart. The USA soloist is the most comfortable and fast guitar I've played. The bridge is a non-issue (I think it's bombproof), and I don't like stainless steel frets-so those common criticisms aren't a big deal to me. Recognizing the quality of the artistry and the time clearly invested in each instrument, this guitar is of good value. I'm excited to play this guitar daily, and it's hard to put down. I enjoyed your video, thanks again!

I played the Japanese guitar yesterday. It is very nice. I played the Indonesian one a couple weeks ago and thought it wasn't bad, but I was spoiled with the Japanese one. I played an American used Jackson and it was amazing! I've been playing guitar my whole life and it was the first time to play one for me. I cannot believe the difference, so I decided to buy a new SL3. I ordered the white one and now I have to wait until it arrives. I'm so excited! These guitars are all great! Take care, Sam.

I have a jackson marty friedman in the pro series and out of the box it’s not perfect but with a great frets works it’s really good! I would rather buy a Charvel instead US Jackson. I would be satisfied with a MJ Jackson! All 3 models sound great on your video! I’ m not really in love with the TB4 pickup on the US model. Great video as usual !

i'm not much into this game of shredding, metal and guitars with horrifying angles but honestly this review hit a sweet spot to the point said that a guitar is not the sum of its parts. Otherwise i'm not sure how many people would distinguish the guitars by the sound if blindfolded. Clean sounds were spectacular specially the hysteria was spot on!!!!

Now I'm no shredder, but I'm watching this because I sure appreciate guys that can do it...I'm writing this comment though to ask a question in regard to a German made Floyd Rose: are they retro fittable? Meaning if a person prefers a German made Floyd, can it be put on any of these guitars without modification? Are all the Floyd Rose tremolos dimensionally the same, to where you can put it on any of these guitars, or are the posts different, to where you would have to have the guitar redrilled or modified to install it in order for it to work properly?

Yes, an FR original is a direct drop in replacement for the FR1000/1500. No modifications or drilling necessary.

The pro purple series has a much sharper, faster attack, and sounded more articulate with high definition with power chords. The other 2 sounded muffled, almost palm muted with very little definition on the power chords.

Where is the "Made in USA " on headstock? The imported neckthrough guitars have binding, USA models Do Not...what's up with that? Thank you!
