I really like the 250. I like the larger nib. I do not own a Kaweco fountain pen. I do have the Dia2 ballpoint, though. Kaweco makes pens of high quality. I think I would enjoy the nib. I wonder if a Monteverde converter could be used which has threads. I wonder if it will fit.

Aloha Mike! Nice review of both models. I own a few Kaweco Sports and Perkeo's and for the most part the nibs are quite consistent (I believe they are all the current JoWo made?), but find the small nib to just look out of place and like you said, I need to grip the pen further back on the threads of the Sport model. I'm a bit of a Kaweco fanatic. I've got "a few" but not this one. My Supra has the chonky nib, and it is glorious. It's perpetually inked up with Atmospheric Twilight, because of your review. But all of my Kawecos are B or BB. I'd love to try one in fine! I prefer the big nib, but would love to have either. Thanks for the review!

My preference would be the 250, mainly because the section is a bit thicker, which helps reduce my arthritis discomfort. I do like the overall ‘cute’ look of the 060.

Thanks for this detailed comparison. And as someone else mentioned thanks for the tip about adjusting the clip. I'm sure I'd prefer the 250. I have a Kaweco Sport and while I love the pen, that nib is a little small for me.

On a full size pen, I prefer the full size nib to go along with it. Also I imagine having a #6 or 250 nib has more options for interchangeability.

Kaweco Fountain pens are great. Happy that you are offering a giveaway with 2 Kaweco Originals. I would prefer the 060 model with the EF nib. It turns out that originally I bought lots of pens with Medium or Broad nibs mainly to compliment the ink better. Since buying a number of vintage fountain pens with finer nibs my handwriting looks neater than with pens with a broader nibs. Thank you 🖋

We'll timed review! Just saw these recently and I've been meaning to take a deeper look. I think the thickness of the 250 would appeal to me but after lots of thick pens, I've really been gravitating towards my Prera lately, so who knows.

Thanks for this first look at these two Kawecos! I love my Kaweco Sports and was not really interested in this release until I saw this video - the idea of having a full-size converter in a Kaweco is a happy thought, as well as the fact that these look so classy too. I must say that I would love to try the larger one as I love the look of that larger nib and I don't think that I would use the EF very much. Thanks again for sharing this comparison.

I like the 250. In my ballpoint days I really liked thin pens but that pretty much went out the window when I began using fountain pens some years back. I really don't know why but the 250 would just seem more comfortable.

They’re both solid designs, but I like the 250 far more. The small nib and the super-long section to compensate for it look odd on a full-sized pen.

The 060 seems so great! I love having that close to paper nib that I use all the time on my Lilliput. It helps with control because I have a non-standard grip.

I've been looking into this pen which seems to solve my pet peeve and was interested in the #6 size (250) nib. It would be nice if they begin to come out with more colors... Thanks for the video. I like the fact that it takes a lot of the design features of the kaweco sport but it lets you use a full sized converter. I much prefer the 250 as it looks more balanced with the overall proportions of the pen. Great review BTW, as always :)

I would love to give Kaweco another chance. After all, the Al-Sport in red is one of my dailys, I like it enough for it to have a custom pouch. But, that's really only after having spent so, so much time fixing all the things that weren't great about it. The nib unit that came with the pen was absolutely terrible, the (original Kaweco) converter was a really poor fit, too. So yeah, would love, or dare, to give Kaweco another chance. I'd like to try the 250. Maybe there's less of a point to putting a mini nib in a not-mini pen?

1. I prefer the smaller of these two Kaweco Originals because the section is longer and the nib is smaller. 2. I prefer smaller nibs for two reasons: 1) they are less of an obstruction to my view of the nib contacting the paper; and 2) they allow you to grip the pen closer to the nib if you want to. The thrill of large nibs escapes me. Unless it is merely an aesthetic preference. 3. I'm baffled why Kaweco bothered to release two versions of this pen that are so similar it is hard to tell them apart. Also, my best guess is that besides me, everybody is going to prefer the larger nib. I'd be intrigued to see relative sales volumes.

I like the 250 better. It gets you a little further from the page which is nice. Plus, you can just get a sport that has the smaller nib with the added benefit of being able to throw it in your pocket.

As far as I know, Kaweco is a vintage German brand that has recently been reborn... Their pens are really amazing. I prefer the 250 fountain pen.

Got mine almost as soon as it hit Goulet. And enjoy writing with it. Got the 250 version (the larger nib just looks better on it I think). Eventually plan on upgrading it to a 14k gold nib, but the current one still writes well. And yes, I'm one of those people that the offset branding bothers. It's not a huge deal, doesn't stop me from writing with it or enjoying the pen, just kind of a back of the mind grating thing. Thanks for the tip about the clip though, wasn't aware of that. One day I hope they make a brass version to complement their brass Sport.

The 060 looks nice and slim. Honestly these are the first new models I’ve seen in a while that pique my interest. As for the label I’d rather it line up with the clip when capped than with the nib when writing, so I think they made the right decision. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for the detailed review! I love the look of the matt black with silver. I think I like the bigger nib of the 250 more aesthetically, just to give it an extra difference with the sport and the perkeo. But I think the 060 will give me a better writing experience, with my small hands and how I hold my pen.
