@@brozbro Well, if this global Urea shortage crisis doesn't get resolved soon, there WON'T be anywhere near as many trucks on the road because a big proportion of then need Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) aka AdBlue to run. Then we're in serious trouble because freight pretty much grinds to a slow crawl, agriculture, manufacturing etc drops massively.

My first truck was a 1961 Kenworth with a 220 cummins, 5x4 transmission 36" coffin sleeper, spring ride and no A/C, pulling a 40' spring ride flatbed trailer. 14 mile an hour up a 5% grade. You big strappers enjoy this great equipment and I will enjoy watching you.

Our REDUCED loads aren't really an issue. I usually never haul anything over 15k to begin with, doesn't pay worth a darn to haul 42k lb and over generally.

You need to buy fuel anyway. The truckstop with give you a shower with fuel purchase. And the toilet is free. Me personally I have to get out of the truck and move around. The walk in won't hurt even the most out of shape driver.

Too bad a lot of companies don't want to add the amenities for drivers such as the swivel seat refrigerator or even an inverter to their trucks. My former company decided to put a seat on top of a storage box for the passenger seat some of the cabinet doors were off no netting at all and then they decided that the steering wheel extra buttons for cruise control volume for the CD player was too much to add on so they saved money by getting a plain steering wheel.

I love the truck but it of almost twenty eight years of being on the road, I never had this much time to sit down and be this relaxed. I was always wide open. These companies want you to pick up a load in north Carolina today and be in california tomorrow. So you won't have time to sit and make coffee or watch tv and fix food in a studio kitchen. Unrealistic. Would be nice. But it ain't happening.
