Our friends at Koah have just released their new polespear - the Koah Pierce. After 18 months of design and testing, Koah has delivered a weapon that is light, strong and rigid. An 8' polespear in both traditional and roller versions, the Pierce is a three piece carbon fiber polespear. Comprised of two three foot sections and one two foot section, the polespear can be arranged as either an 8’ polespear or 6’ polespear.
Built exclusively out of purpose-built T300 carbon fiber, a standard in the aerospace industry, the Pierce is both light and incredibly solid. After careful testing and consideration, Koah decided on an 18" injector rod because of the fit and balance of a mid-sized injector.
A first in the industry, is the double threaded injector rod to enable you to switch from flopper to slip tip without carrying separate injector rods. Both sides are machined with a 5/16" 24 count thread - the industry standard. With only one exception, all the connections are built with ceramic coated stainless, but alway and most importantly in the areas of the highest stress connections.
The large grip has crosshatch heat shrink and a raised handle to provide maximum holding power. The cable on the slip tip is coated 3/32" cable, to prevent cuts and slices from damaged slip tip cable. And the handle, built by a marine canvas maker, it's heavy, durable and comfortable.
This polespear is deadly in the Bahamas. Hunt everything from hogs, to wary muttons, even to the biggest and rocked up of Nassaus and blacks. And with the swivel attachment at the butt you can even chase large wahoo and pelagics. With Koah's legendary reputation in the spearfishing community, this polespear is sure to deliver.
