Done! I had bought some phillips hue light bars to use with our TV but at the time I didn't realize they needed the sync box. Looked up the price and was shocked. Light bars are now used with the computer only, where I don't need that sync box. This Lytmi thing is a godsend.

How does it work on smart tv apps for example using youtube app on tv will it work or you have to connect another device?

Sadly it doesn't work with built in TV Apps, you have to have a separate input device. Have a look at the Govee Immersion product i took a look at as this will work as you need: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZLYqpRui9SNo5I

Just a word of advice. Will not work accurately with paid apps ( Netflix Amazon Disney etc) works on streaming sites like syncler for the same actual movie from any paid app but won’t work correctly through Netflix etc. You only get red /pink lights too and bottom and some movements on the side when a wide screen movie is playing. Been waiting on a response from the manufacturer but no go for over a week and three emails. Word of advice it states unplug when not in use and I found why. It gets hot as shit. While in the off position no TV on it’s pulling 75 watts 24/7 in the form of just heat. .

HDR is not working properly .... everyone did not test the device properly and uploaded their videos too quickly ... The light is very weak when hdr is activated ... Lytmi doesn't know if they can solve the problem ... from my point of view this will be a problem because they have something else on the packaging and website ...

Great except the CEO confirmed HDR isn't working. Outputs very white backlighting. Only looks good in SDR. I'm waiting for 2.1 version

I've heard you can connect the sync box to the tuya app? can you use it to control other lights i.e smart bulbs? can it be used to do a full room lighting immersion with lamps, room edge lighting and under seating that color match the screen.

I have a Samsung TV with a HDMI box instead of plugging them straight into the TV. Could I plus the TV to the sync box and then the sync box to my standard HDMI box or will this not work?

Your HDMI box will have a single output on it so i cannot see why this wouldn't work :-)

i wanna use it for my pc and gamig monitor. i already set bought it and set it up. however it doesn't video sync. everything is connected to the app too. however i wonder. do i need to connect the hdmi to the pc or to the monitor? or do i need to connect them to both with a second hdmi

They do have a PC version of this which is USB and uses the App. However if you use this one then the HDMI out from your computer would go into the sync box and then HDMI from sync box to your monitor.

Hello... I am sharing my experience, so this Lytmi is not as great as it seems. HDR and Dolby Vision does not work or works very badly, Lytmi has also apologized for this (you can find all the comments on the Lytmi forum). But have they really tested their product? I ask this because after several searches on a site that everyone knows... there are exactly the same Ambilight boxes available but with different brands instead of the "Neo". Anyway, thank you for this test video.

Great review, this would look great on my media wall I just built. One question relating to lip sync. I recently added a Samsung S50A Soundbar to my Samsung 65" via eARC HDMI. I have a Sky Q box connected direct to HDMI 1 but I notice a bit of lag especially on Live Broadcasts, i.e. News channels. Altering the delay on the Sky box doesn't do anything so it's maybe a setting on the TV I need to try. So would adding the Lytmi into the chain [Sky Q - Lytmi - TV] add additional lip sync lag ? Curious if anyone else has had issues. Cheers.

Sorry i don't know this myself as i don't have Sky. I have my LG sound bar connected to the TV with optical and have never noticed any lag. Are you connecting wirelessly or directly to the TV with your sound bar? I know a few have a delay option to re-sync up the audio if this occurs. Many Thanks

I nearly purchased the older version a few months ago, I'm so glad I held off, I definitely need to get one of these set up in the home. The single HDMI isn't a problem if using a amplifier / receiver as it handles all of the HDMI switching anyway with only 1 output to the TV. I would think most people serious enough to install lighting would probably have a home theatre setup anyway? Are you able to do a review of the new PC lighting kit Lytmi have released also, that looks pretty wicked for the avid gamer. Done by the way.

Does anyone know if the lights turn off when there's no signal in the HDMI? Or do they go into some weird default white light or some other pattern? All my devices are input to my Denon AVR with one output to my TV, so this would be between the Denon and the TV. When I turn off the Denon, it would be great if these would turn off too, until there's signal in the HDMI. If not, does anyone know if these are compatible with a Harmony remote so the 'off' command can also turn off the Neo 2.0? Thanks!

I was debating between these and the Tao X and went with Tao X because they had some sale where I got 30 dollars off at checkout so why with Tao but wanted to go with these as they seem really good quality and toa seems just good quality. But Tao might be just as good just not paying extra for the known brand name. They get here tomorrow will reply to this comment and let others that are thinking about the Tao how they are.

Got this last week and very disappointed. The latency is terrible. When watching anything with black bars, I get flickering. I've also got a hyperion setup but I can't use that through alexa so thought I'd give this a go. Not good enough in my opinion.

great, Lytmi still cant do hdmi 2.1 HDR10+ and why do you have to buy a new sync box when all Philips had to do was add a firmware update? Dont get me wrong, I think Philips Gouges people way too much but at least it has more HDMI ports and you only need a firmware update, not new hardware.

Thanks for your viewpoint Courtney. I think the reason Philips was so expensive from the off was that put the higher end hardware in place so that it was only software/firmware that was needed moving forward but i am sure this will soon be outdated now unless anyone has a newer version. thanks again.
